Controls are kind of odd, but then again, I'm not used to playing Smash on a handheld. Has there been any word that you can customize the controls for the full 3DS game? So that it handles more like the GameCube controls?

You can customise just about every button in the game.

Will you need a Nintendo ID to play online multiplayer?

I was unable to get the demo due to not having a Nintendo ID, nor do I want Nintendo getting personal details about me.

You need an ID to even use the eShop, so you are going to need one for online play . It's about as safe as having an online account for PSN and Xbox Live.

I've been using the eShop without the ID since I've had a DS. So far this is the first time it has ever been a problem.

They've recently tied the eShop from both the 3DS and the Wii U. I wouldn't think anyone would be able to use/purchase/download anything from it without an account. Guess I'd be wrong. Anyways, I still can't imagine online play without one.

How recent was this? It's been about a month since I've purchased anything from the eShop.

Uh... Since about Decemeber, 2013. eShop has required a NNID ever since the system update back then.

Lol, how could you have avoided creating a NNID? I thought it was pretty much mandatory when first introduced. Relax man, Nintendo isn't going to break into your home.

I can play Pokémon Y multiplayer just fine without a NNID. I think you guys may be smoking something. Regardless, I can't make a NNID because the Parental Controls are on, and my parents don't remember the PIN number or the answer to the security question. So I'm SOL.

Yeah, I'm having issues with playing on the 3DS. The control pad is just odd to use and being able to change the button layout in the demo would've be nice. It would've made my play a little bit more comfortable. I'n not used to using the very tip of my thumb to jump. I've always been accustomed to using, IDK the correct term for it, the point right above the joint. I've found myself helplessly fall as I do a special move instead of jumping back to the stage.

Thanks to a $38.50 listing and eBay for giving me a $25 coupon, I was just able to purchase this game for $13.50 shipped.

I love your utter resignation when faced with some peep musing on Lucario being a Mewtwo clone ergo copy Mewtwo from Lucario. I could imagine you slumping at that :lol

I never really wanted Mewtwo back that much. Would have been pretty wicked. It's just a shit excuse as to why he's not back. It's not like Sakurai is responsible for making the models, he has an entire team. Not only that, but this time he's also got Namco.
