did anyone else have the super shuttle ride from hell? first off my boxes looked heavy, so the wimp didn't want to pick them up. then i showed him how easy it was , told him there were just toys inside. it took a half hour just to get away from the airport. i was at terminal c, then to terminal a , then to terminal e. then stuck in traffic getting away from the airport. then the damn thing konks out on us so from then on whenever we stopped for a red light he had to put it in park and rev the engine. all the while he's on the radio telling his dispatcher-saying i don't want to go to frisco. no tip for this putzmaster ( especially after charging me 32.00) ----battlestarbase
Yeah Dravens broke down. Took him like 2 hours to get from the airport the hotel. When he told me I laughed. I am not a nice person, but I like me, somebody has to.
I was most uminpressed by that. FIrst, the thing breaks down. Then, the driver spends about 10 minutes just looking at the van (doesn't actually open anything, juststands there, looking at it). And THEN, the only way he can FINALLY get the bloody thing moving again is to turn off the air con. Twunt.
My shuttle to the hotel took close to an hour and a half after dropping everyone else off before us. Glad we took that cab on the return trip, was cheaper and quicker.
I got to the Super Shuttle area of the curb outside Terminal C (IIRC) the proceeded to wait for about 15 minutes while several SS vans drove up and proceeded to drive off. Finally my van showed up and then he circled the airport several times picking up more and more people. Then after one drop off we finally made it to the hotel. The return shuttle was smooth sailing.
Twin Twist and I took the cab from the airport to the hotel. Was a bit more expensive than the shuttle, but from what I've heard, damn well worth it! And damn, we waited <i>forever</i> for Draven's shuttle to arrive! Even got attacked by various insects in the meanwhile...
Our Super Shuttle driver was just insane. I don't think he knew about any traffic laws, and the entire time he was looking at one cell phone, talking on the radio, and talking on his personal cellphone, all while driving. I'll never use them again, that's for sure.
