$350??? Sweet christ that's insanity of the highest possible order to me.

Real proud of that spring loaded fist I guess.

I don't know what's with the recent proliferation of dead Optimus Prime toys (or in the process of dying in the case of that one ReAction figure), but it amuses me that one of the go-to decos has become "him but dead".

That being said, $350 is a super high price for what you're getting. This thing better be rock solid for that much, considering its whopping 3 points of articulation.

I have the original and it is big and displays well. I just wasn’t prepared for this but I’m sure I’ll get it. 7CA6C2E7-815D-45EC-B6D7-ACB4776ED868.jpeg

That's a lot of money for something that doesn't do much... but I still want one. :/

How do they justify that absurd price for such a basic, cheap-looking product?

I had a horrible experience with the original version that came out a few months ago. The blue paint on the "butt" of the figure had not cured and rubbed off on the cardboard packaging that was securing the figure. My first copy had chest door hinges that were both damaged and the hinges would just fall off. The chest windows are just stickers that always have a bubble on them no matter how much you smooth them.

I wouldn't touch the de-active version with a ten foot pole.

You can get a real Optimus Prime robot for under $1,000…or you can get three dead, dumb plastic toys. Humans are weird.

Super7 has this strange methodology of charging MUCH more than what these things are likely worth.

I bought and returned their Ultimates Optimus Prime. That is downright embarrassing for $60

Also, I'm gonna mention that the Masterpiece MP-44 with all it's articulation was less than $100 more than this......I still just can't even.

A $350 corpse.. there's just something morbidly amusing about that.

As a Jumbo Machinder / Shogun Warriors guy $350 isn't all that out of the ballpark. iIRC it's about what Skelletor cost. The difference in the 2 though is that Skelletor is proportioned exactly like an old Shogun ...he fits in PERFECTLY next to Mazinger and Gaiking without anyone batting an eye....Optimus though, is too....well G1 Optimussey....he just looks like a way upscaled red series and once a friend showed me his I realized it looks out of place. As for dead Optimus...Super 7 likes it as an easy recolor, but it's an even easier pass.
