Oh wow that super bowl teaser trailer was awesome....I'm actually pumped for this movie now.
yeah, i just noticed that. pause as soon as optimus is hanging upside down and it switches from hook/blade to hand.
also, it looks like optimus is standing over the freightliner as he gets shot in the chest.
I thought it was some kind of torture drill? Not that that wouldn't suit him, but I didn't see a hook in it...
Grimlock in this movie is NOT a T-Rex. He looks like he might be a Carnotaurus given he has horns above his eyes. Still ferocious.
I don't know why people are so hard on this teaser? This wasn't a full trailer. And I'm surprised at the ho-hum reaction in general because all this time many have wanted Dinobots in a TF movie. Now that we've got them, people are turning their noses at it. I'm not asking anyone to become wild and crazy happy about this movie, but I do think it deserves a fair chance and an open mind. I may be the best one yet (or not), but we won't know that until it's out.
Good things about this movie include:
- Improved, more streamlined designs.
- No Sam
- New villains (galvatron, Lockdown, etc.)
- New story (possibly new story arc?)
- New Autobots.
I don't think it will be a literary movie masterpiece, but it should be a fun, action-packed film with an aceptable story. I believe Bay learned his lesson from TF2 and won't be repeating that again.
I thought it looked cool. Interested to see more.
it reminded me of one of these:
possibly with a claw or hook thrown in as well for good measure. Some sort of brutal device whatever it is.
That's the impression I got.
There's a spaceship or something flying in the background of that scene, which would mess with people's perception if they're looking at screencaps and not the video itself.
Yes. Optimus effortlessly murdering multiple, powerful Decepticons. That's exactly what we need more of. We didn't get enough of that in the last three.
I have nothing to add. But this warrants quoting.
It's a completely frivolous change too, adds nothing to the design. At least he looks like a tyrannosaurus though, if the "2 headed Mecha-Giant Claw" is any indication I don't think the other "dinobots" will fare as well.
That's what I keep saying !!!
I thought the Dinosaur in last scene was Slug
The movie Grimlock is NOT a T-Rex! He's a Carnotaurus. I don't see why this is a bad thing? He's still huge and quite the bad-ass. I'm not sure about the 2-headed thing, but it's a movie with robots that can transform into just about anything, so why not?
are you trolling the guy who made that thread in the movie forum? He's mad, but he's right.
See image. It's a tyrannosaurus with EXTREME HORNS.
They might not transform at all.
I'm only pointing out a fact.
See these images, it's a Carnotaurus. The T-Rex had no horns above its eyes.
Here's a T-Rex
See this link below? It's information about the Carnotaurus:
Carnotaurus - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Looks very much like a T-Rex, but it isn't. It's the only type with horns on its head as well.
But hey, if you say that it is T-Rex that's been modified, I can go with that since we have a 2-headed dinosaur as well. I'm just trying to be accurate.
Carnotaurus has completely different proportions to T.rex, and its horns project sideways from its head, not backwards.
Carnotaurus has even tinier arms, tiny teeth, and a short squat head.
The only dinosaur Grimlock comes close to resembling is T.rex.
I'm sure they will transform, what looked to be a blacked out robot mode grimlock has already been seen. Some people thought the wreckers in dotm wouldn't transform or have robot modes and they did
Fine. I'm not going to argue over this...
