So which one is your favorite?

This Bud Light ad. It's a pure retro joy for me to see Spud MacKenzie. Even though in ghost form.

The ads were trash save for the movie TV spots.

The best thing to come out of tonight was the Stranger Things season 2 teaser. The rest of the movie trailers were pretty good too. The only other commercials I enjoyed off the top of my head were the Terry Bradshaw (who is still the best Super Bowl QB in my heart), Peter Fonda, Adam Driver, and Mr. Clean ones. They were so generic this year. It's like no one put any effort into making them stand out. Hell, I think Budweiser is the only one who puts any heart into it at all on a consistent basis anymore.

Yeah, most of the ads other than the movie ones weren't very memorable this year... as for the movies...we already knew the TF:TLK one, so I liked GOTG2 or Furious was okay...

They all sucked. The only one that made me laugh was the T=Mobile 50 Shades of Grey ad.

The Martha Stewart one was good. The 50 Shades parody ads were fantastic. Ghost dog was best and I wasn't even around to see the original Spuds.

Everything else that wasn't a movie, though? Pure rubbish. Kinda surprised that scam game Evony got in there, though.

I remember the greats like basically every doritos ad, that 'give us your tires, or your life!...no, I said life not WIFE!', and the Pepsi one from a few years ago with the mystic man and the guy having to sacrifice is lucky chair for his team to win the game.

Now they're just...mildly silly. Somebody needs to force feed the Old Spice commercial writers down these people's throats, show them what a REAL superbowl commercial should be.

I had hoped for a 2nd TLK too, but at (so I heard) 5 million a pop, not likely. Honestly, so many of them were 'leaked' earlier.. so not really anything surprising or mouth dropping when that happens.

Oh it's The FATE of the Furious. Read it wrong.

    Fast 8
    Logan
    Transformers
    Pirates of the Caribbean
    Guardians of the Galaxy 2.

Can't wait to see them. Especially TF: TLK

Easily the worst year of Super Bowl commercials. Not a single one stood out as good. So much money thrown away.

The worst for commercials was Super Bowl 49. That was the year that every single commercial was trying to be super serious, powerful, and/or depressing. It's the Super Bowl, have fun! There were only a couple awful ones like that this year. They were mostly generic this year though, and few seemed like they were made just for game day.

Remember 2007 when companies was trying too hard? Like that Snickers ad where two guys accidentally touched lips and was showing their manliness doing stupid shit like pulling their chest hair off. Or the Bud light ad where people was throwing full cans at each other.
