Looking good so far. That's a really good amount of articulation for Optimus to look so rigid at standstill. The R.E.D. is terrible - why does that line even exist? I guess its cheap.

In that picture of 4 Starscream really does look like a spectre!

Well, This is just me eyeballing things using the Pic of Ultimates Prime next to RED Prime, but...

if RED's are the size of modern voyagers then... they should go up to his Decepticon Symbol while a Deluxe should reach the orange vents on his chest.

 

According to my calculations based on the images above, the top of banzaitron's head should reach the bottom of the blue tape:

I really do hope people like this guy and enjoy him. But for me these guys keep disappointing me with their range of movement. I'm all good with non-transforming transformers, but I just expect them to articulate really well.

 

Understandable.

I cancelled my order for him yesterday along with others as I'm trying to cut my purchases back somewhat, but I still like how these guys look.

 

Yeah there's a lot out there and I have to be choosier about what I get as well. I still hope these sell well, just because the more options the better, but I still think I am only going to get Bludgeon.

 

Banzaitron looks great and I'm eager to get mine but I can't help but feel like these were very much made sculpt-first and then whatever range the joints get, they get. Feels like in a few places if the sculpt was a tiny bit different he'd have substantially more range. I can't help but feel like with the focus on the packaging that these are pushed a bit more as MISB display over being a real play piece. Although, from the sound of it from the reviewer, Banzaitron may be one of the weaker entries compared to the others. so I have more hope for the others. Still, unfortunate to have a martial artist be one of the more limited.

 

S7 is definitely a company that doesn’t put their effort into articulation. That being said, it’s admittedly annoying how much more range these figures could have if they just shaved a tiny amount of plastic off of some parts. The elbows, knees, and shoulders could have majorly benefit from slight changes.

 

Unfortunately I have a feeling if you want more articulation, you'll have to wait until they decide to do a version 2.0 of these figures.
