Relieved to see they haven't taken any unnecessary liberties with Bludgeon, I've been wanting an articulated version of that character for so long and this is finally it! Other figures have little interest to me. Tracks doesn't quite seem Action-Mastery enough for some reason, and big names like Grimlock and Megatron are just... well, I mean we love the characters etc but who needs yet another action figure of them? Yes, Yes, Yes and Yes! There were rumours of Hasbro doing Pretenders in their main line next year or something weren't there? While I hope that's true I'm not sure I'd entirely trust them to get it right without doing some weird thing like making the shells transform, or giving the inner bot the attributes of the shell or whatever. Standalone bots that interact with these figures would be amazing, but I can't see that level of inter-company interactivity happening tbh. Especially as Hasbro effectively gazumped them with their Red line. Big Yes! There's a thought... Going back to the idea of the shell being able to open up (even if there's nothing inside, most action figures are molded in halves anyway so it might be an easy little easter egg) what if the empty interior could hold G1 Bludgeon's inner bot? I mean, all we'd need then is a Hasbro reissue of the G1 figure, which is frankly long overdue anyway!
