I depends on how you go about it I guess. Either way, I look forward to seeing more. FWIW, I like Superman with Blue and Thanos with Red.

Not sure how I feel about the colors after seeing them. The figures tend to reflect too much of the background... hmmm (excuse the dust on the figures, this was only a test :D  )

Which figure is that? I had a US release of him called Moto-Jumbo. Never knew what his Japanese name is.

Much like Daltalious (sp), I have a nostalgia towards it just based on the toy I knew as a kid. Never seen the cartoon.

They are just sheets of thin PVC. I found a multipack of them on Amazon for a decent price. :)

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014H3P618/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1

Then I'm just using a small lightbox and 4 LEDs for lighting.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005HE1NP0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (I don't use the tungsten lights that came with this kit; they get way too hot)

I just trimmed the PVC to fit inside of the lightbox. I'm also using some white fabric over the lights themselves to diffuse even more.

Flat beer and sunlight definitely help, but are not required. :D

Love the setup, and thank you for posting it! I'm also happy to see discussion on the process of achieving these shots instead of just picture spamming.

Yeah, I wish there had been more behind-the-scene type talk (and maybe there was, in older threads) when I was starting out. I've found some members' posts here and there through the years, and taken their advice, and have kind of mashed all of that into my own thing, I guess. I'm more than happy to share! :)  I've always been surprised there isn't a sticky thread for photo tips on this site. I know there are a few advice threads if you search, though.

Here's the picture from the above shot:

Some figures are still dust magnets (!) and you can see the paint blemishes on his belt.... but oh well :D

It's a monster from monster hunter, Liolaeus. It's part of bandai's "Chogokin" line.
