Milton Bradley Transformers G1 "Starscream" (1985) - aka "Thunderscream".

This European Milton Bradley-boxed release of Thundercracker came in a Starscream box, and had Starscream's stickersheet, but factory Thundercracker labels. Moulding is pre-rub/rubsign hybrid, and the canopy is the same lighter orange as Euro orange-canopy Ramjet.

I had to create this Thundercream from 2 damaged specimens, so unfortunately the Starscream foot stickers didn't make it, and they're very important for the whole TC/SS hybrid look...but I do have a vintage G1 Starscream stickersheet on the way to correct that!

Oh man, this pissed me off so incredibly back then. Not that Thundercracker was a character that interested me back then (characterwise he was an unknown and I found him a bit boring looking compared to Starscream, Ramjet, Thrust and Dirge), but here finally we got a known character that wasn't sold before, and he came in a Starscream box. A clear mispackage.

I so hated this. Just like characters like Swoop and Perceptor not being sold or Tracks being red. It just convinced me that we got the bad stuff back then, the rejects. (And as an adult collector, as soon as I learned it existed I bought the e-hobby red tracks and replaced the worn and torn blue G1 in my collection :) .)

Hasbro red is darker with bigger sticker, but even the red plastic used for IGA Bee and IGA Cliff is not quite the same!

Yes, but I've limited access to my Flickr archive to just my Patrons on Patreon. And because of that, I've been posting fewer photos here and less frequently.

Takara Diaclone Car Robot No.7 Fairlady Z 280Z - aka "Blue Bluestreak" (1983).

20 years I've been after this, and finally bought it for myself for my 40th birthday this year. I'd never seen it in person, and never thought I'd ever own it. A very fortuitous -and happy- purchase!

Ah. I follow you there, and I noticed the pics you post here weren't on Flickr. Regardless, thanks for all the amazing photos!

Thank you for taking notice of my photos! It's always always appreciated. I'm continuing to build my archive on Flickr and I hope to have a one-stop go to place for photos of TFs and other toylines. Nothing fanciful but I just wish there was a site with consistent quality photos of some of these amazing figures. So instead of waiting for someone to do it, I decided to do it myself. Check it out if you are interested! :)

Oh and I post daily on IG too. So that's another option, although quality will be a couple of notches down
