Inspired by the work I did with the Smash4 Ike custom, I opted to do another one without being commissioned. Had a sunspot spare that I never found a use for, so I worked off that.

An Arwing that turns into Star Fox.
- Left axe turned into a "Deflector Shield" axe.
- Right axe turned into Fox's blaster.
- Legs modified to be more obviously mechanical than even Smash showcased.
- Leg engines added to the wings to complete the Arwing look.
- Removable green lasers & blue booster circles attach to the wings.
- Thickened the toe joints so that the spring barely works, letting the figure ACTUALLY STAND for once.

This was definitely fun. Not like it cost me much to make anyways since I had the parts already.

 

How did you paint the face? It looks really good for that scale.

Sunspot is one of my top 5 favorite figures.

 

Well shit, I'd buy it.

 

Mostly with precision applicators. They're normally meant for glues/decals/etc, I use them to paint with.
Except for the eyes. The eyes are painted with an exacto knife.

Wow, somehow I missed this post last year. Awesome, loved this game as a kid. The star fighter is perfect!

 

That’s so cool. Would be neat if Mindwipe was the shuttle so fox’s ship could combine.
