What are your top movies that you are looking forward to? Here are mine. In no particular order. Iron Man The Dark Knight Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull The Incredible Hulk The Chronicles Of Narnia: Prince Caspian Speed Racer
Iron Man's top on my list. Hellboy 2's right up there, but I'm a little more skeptical about it now that Seth MacFarlane's in it.
I have the "summer movie preview" issue of Entertainment Weekly in front of me. So, in no particular order (actually, in the order as they appear in the magazine): Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Iron Man Incredible Hulk Wall-E The Dark Knight Hellboy II The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor And I'll probably only watch two or three of them and wait for the DVDs for the rest.
In order of Indy Dark Knight Iron Man The Happening Narnia Hellboy 2 X-Files 2 Wall-E, Wanted, Hulk, etc., I'll probably wait for video.
i cant wait to see Iron man, Speed Racer and the dark knight! i'm also quite looking forward to indy, hulk and hellboy 2.
The Dark Knight Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Iron Man The Incredible Hulk Wall-E Wanted Hellboy II: The Golden Army Pineapple Express The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Hush you! It's a good year for movies. It's best to incorporate all! Spread the love and all that jazz.
Dark Knight, above and beyond all else. I want to see if they finally nailed the Joker, and from the sounds of it, they do. Wall-E is next. It's frickin' Pixar doing Sci-Fi! Indy would be third because, y'know, it's Indy. But there's also an underlying dread that it could suck. Iron Man 4th. It totally looks like a home run, but that certainty, with all the promo footage shown so far, has kind of muted my curiosity a bit. Clone Wars: Star Wars and Indy on the big screen for the first time since 1980? Awesome! Hancock: Was expecting nothing, but I loved the trailer. Tropic Thunder: Tony Stark plays Jim Rhodes. Good or bad,it'll be interesting. Narnia: So sue me. The LWATW wasn't LOTR, but I still liked it for what it was. Never read any of the other stories so I'm interesting in seeing where it goes from there. Hellboy 2: Hellboy 1 very much left me wanting, but it's Del Toro, and I want him to have my money. Hulk, of which I am completely unsure what to expect. The Happening: Even though MNS can totally fuck it up in the end (The Village, Signs), he can still craft an effective and interesting film for the first 80%. I'm curious to see if he can bring it home this time. X-Files: After the last 2 seasons of the show, it's gotten hard to care, but I'll give it a shot. Wanted: I just have no connection to the source material and I have not liked the trailers. But word of mouth is sort of good, so maybe... KungFu Panda: Trailer was cute, but it needs good reviews to pull me into the theater. No interest at all in seeing Get Smart, Step Brothers, Speed Racer, Zohan or Sex in the City.
Actually I'm kind of interested to see Get Smart. It's possible they've totally messed it up (word is they have, at least character wise). But I'll be damned if that theme song isn't catchy.
That's an excuse? Just download the theme, or wait for cable. The sad thing is the casting is mostly perfect here. But the script, from what I understand, is Get Smart via Johnny English, completely misunderstanding the characters of Max and 99.
The casting is freaking great, but turning Max into a lowly nobody that worships the higher ups and actually knows that he's incompetent is completely lame.
