So, the last we see of Sumdac he's in Megatron's grip, pulled under the floor, then we see the hand fixed up and attached to Meg's arm...but no Sumdac.

Care to speculate where he went, until we find out (maybe) next week?

He's probably in shock due to bringing doom to the Autobots he thought he was helping.

 

Honestly? I wouldn't be surprised if Megatron is still holding on to him and plans on using him against the Autobots in the next episode... this Megatron is the type to do that in a very... subtle manner.  

 

He's in the previews for Season 2, so he survived. He's probably just in another part of the building, fell through a floor or something. He'll be fine.

 

Or maybe Megs offers him the same offer that once proposed to Sam on movie, "Be my pet!"

 

Maybe he's inside Megatron much the way humans have traveled in TFs before. Maybe when Megatron transforms we'll see Sumdac in his cockpit. He could be using him as leverage.

 

Yeah. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but he looked like he was in pain when the Allspark energy was going into Meg's hand. Then he disappears. Something strange going on?

Just my wild speculation.

 

It looked to me as if the key re-building Megatron's body put out some kind of noise, that then hurt Sumdac's ears. As for where he is after the re-building process, it's hard to say. He could be in the rubble of the building, or he could actually be in Megatron's body, so that Megs can get some more use out of him in the form of leverage.

 

Perhaps Starscream will steal him in an effort to use him to help him beat Megs ala Dr. Arkeville? Admittedly, Sumdac isn't EEEVIL like the good Dr. but it could be a similar running substory...

Sumdac = Jiminy Cricket. He's merged with Megz and will be the annoying little voice of reason. Sadly, he will, for the most part, be ignored. Until Mega attacks Sari, where Sumdac finally shows enough control to prevent Megz from stomping the cute little annoying girl. X3

 

The spoilers we heard for Season 2 mention that Sumdac will be "missing", whatever that entails.

I'm guessing a Dr Onishi type setup where Megatron keeps him to "learn" about Earth - the episode that introduced the Dinobots established that Megatron doesn't know all about humanity yet and will do what he can to find something he can use against the Autobots. It would also give Sari some focus beyond being the Autobot's guide on Earth as the conflict escalates.

 

He'll be back but wiser for the experience.

His mind (soul?) has been absorbed into megatron,and his body has been destroyed.

The Autobots learn of this, somehow extract his mind/soul and build him an android body .

Or not.

 

An android body for sumdac would be fitting I think.

Sumdac's a nice guy and all, but remember, his empire is built upon stumbling across something special, hiding it, and profitting from it.

 

Some great ideas here, I hope (and trust) the production staff to have a worthwhile mini-story for Sumdac. He's a worthwhile character, not just a 'cartoon' trope (as Sari, PCP, the villains, Fanzone can be).

 

What if Sumdac survived, but couldn't get over unleashing the greatest evil upon earth, so he puts a gun to his head and kills himself? I picture that being in a kids' cartoon...
