Trailer gave me massive Sunset Overdrive vibes.

 

I mean we see Superman killing a soldier begging for his life, so I wouldn't put it passed them to kill off some heroes, but I wonder if any of the Squad will die fighting the League?

King Shark is voiced by Samoa Joe of WWE. He also voiced Predaking in one of machinima's TF shows.

 

Microsoft should doing everything in their power to buy the entire WB gaming division 2 AAA titles from Rocksteady 2021 and 2022 gamepass is begging for this.

 

I would be perfectly fine if WB Games was purchased by Microsoft, definitely better than their other buyers. Hell, Microsoft might even allow some of their games to continue being multiplatform.

 

SUPER impressed by the traversal design - not sure if that 'warp-a-rang' ability has ever been imagined for Captain Boomerang's skill set but it's definitely creative.

side note: After seeing Deadshot's jetpack maneuvers, I'm convinced that DC's Harley Quinn character adopting a jetpack as a new standard for future iterations could be a nice touch, especially to help buff her a bit now that I believe she's somewhat shifted to antihero status.

 

I really like it too and it makes so much sense for a credible threat of the Flash to have.

 

I’m curious on how this will expand the Arkham universe since it’s been confirmed that it is set within it. I’m curious to see if they mention anything about Gotham City post Arkham Knight.

Also Deadshot did have a race swap. I understand they want to make it like the movie but it seems strange to do that in a pre established universe.

 

I understand interrupted f-bombs have been kinda done now, but man that ending made me laugh hard.

 

I love how he’s basically just a bum with a heavy accent. It’s hilarious. I think I’ll enjoy him the most.

 

Self-deprecating f-bombs are always hilarious   (provided good comedic timing/delivery, of course).

 

I for one am very glad Rocksteady is brave enough to include a trans-racial character in a leading role. Also kind of aside but I find it amusing that King Shark in the trailer for this game looks more convincing than the one in the movie trailer.

 

I'm confused are there multiple Deadshots or people who taken on the mantle of Deadshot?

 

They're both named Floyd Lawton, so... unless they come up with some convoluted reason for the discrepancy they just made Deadshot a reverse Michael Jackson for no reason.

Part of me hopes they just don't bring it up, that'd make it 10X more hilarious.

 

He’s not transracial. They just rectconned him to be black because he was black in the movie and don’t want to confuse audiences who don’t know the original version of the character(and would probably assumed he was whitewashed in their ignorance.)

 

The character has a full face-covering mask in his traditional comic look as well, so his ethnicity isn't particularly important to his appearance.

 

I agree, the point is, this game takes place in the same universe as the arkham games. Where he has been established as a white man.

If we never saw his face, it wouldn't be an issue (still not really an issue), but to have 2 games establish how he looks and then get a sequel to it where he is actually a completely different person and race. Even if we're told they are the same by name and that they exist in this canon alone, it's sloppy.

It breaks what continuity the character had.

 

I actually didn't realize he was in any of the previous Arkham games. I've only played through Asylum fully. Started up City, but didn't get that far, and the others are in my backlog.

Do we know that this is actually in continuity with those games, though?

 

What I’m thinking was supposed to happen, was that this game and it’s characters were designed to be set in their own universe, similar to or originally the same universe as the Gotham Knights game.(Which... is trying really hard to be the actual sequel to the Arkham games), but the heads of the studio wanted it to be set in the Arkhamverse in order to cash in on it’s popularity, leading to a canonical clusterfuck between the three games.

 

Same universe as the Arkham series, we don't know when it takes place though.
