Customs: Suggested colours for painting these figures...

    Hello, can anyone suggest some colours for the following?

    I'll probably try Tamiya or Revell acrylics as they are easily available and I hear they are good.

    Any info on matt/silk/gloss versions is also greatefully received :) 

    1. Contrasting red for Heavytread's eyes and visor. Looks like someone already had this idea...

    I dismantled both heads and gave the eyes a couple coats of Tamiya Acrylic X-7 red (gloss)

    What do you think?

    btw for Optimus' trailer I've got TS-17 aluminium silver (spray) and X-14 sky blue on order.

    Hey blue eyes!

    I used a couple coats of Tamiya acrylic sky blue X-14 to give the Autobots some classic blue eyes. Shown are iGear Hench (Brawn), reissue G1 Powerglide from chimungmung and Legends Prowl.

    Would it be a good idea to paint Brawn's face so it's a different shade to his helmet? What colour silver or grey?

    Also do you think a coat of X-22 clear or X-23 clear blue would make the eyes shinier and/or disguise any brush strokes?

    Experimentation is the only answer I have for you my friend.That Clear Blue might be cool over it.I've played around with it a little but not over eyes yet.

    On Tamiya's web site they have a great color chrats , that may be a good place to look. I have had great luck with there paint, GL

    I wonder are there any special instructions for using Tamiya TS-13 as a final protective gloss clear coat?

    Any advice gratefully received.
