Simply put, what're some figures that we've suddenly or even randomly found ourselves wanting/appreciating, and how did this come to be?

I mean, sometimes it has to do with a movie or episode (advertising ftw!), sometimes we come across a great set of pics, vids or discussion (tfw ftw!), and other time it can seem to come outa nowhere, at least for me. For example, I had this urge to look into HFTD Banzaitron maybe 3 hours ago, and now I'm shitting myself for not picking him up when Toys R Us had those Voyagers for half price... even though I had next to no interest when I first looked into him or even when I kept seeing it a lot.

... so yeah, +rep (or -rep, depending on how you look at it) for sudden urges. :)

If not for Wayward's Insecticomics, I would not have considered owning Insecticon toys.

And I thought this was going to be about some guy on here saying that hes in love with some girl and he needs advice from the title of this thread. Oh well I was wrong.

DOTM Skyhammer. Rest of the line leaves me cold, but he's outstanding in both modes. Wanted him for ages, but couldn't find him at retail, then found him yesterday, reduced. Great transformation, too.

So there's this girl, right? And she's imaginary, only in my head, yeah? I'm such a coward, I don't know how to talk to her. What if she doesn't like me?

I'm so nervous, I think I'll go bump nasties with the internet!

    ...

On a more serious side, after playing with DotM DLX Ratchet, I started really liking the character's design, which used to just be "meh" for me. I will buy up any new Ratchet toys now.

4000 posts ago that might've worked, but...

Seriously though, it seems I've been bitten by the MP Rodimus bug, and the fact that I just got a small GST check doesn't help matters. Like if I was smart (there I go again with these silly assumptions), I'd consider the 600 dollars of somewhat unexpected expenses over the minor tax credit, but nope.

Also to Yuyuyami, there might just be another Ratchet for you after the red one. :)

classics lion-o is a sign. sign that i will enjoy other useless inanimate objects and add to it my altar of 80's gods. i have a few cobras (don't collect joes), mask, TFs.

seriously dude, sometimes i feel like collect pet rocks. i collect because someone back in 80's had a really bright idea of using cartoons to market stupid toys.

A while back, a pic of an HA Backfire was posted where the figure had been turned into some kind of awesome looking hovercraft. I had zero interest in the figure before, but I ended up buying the figure JUST to try that mode out.

The figure isn't the greatest thanks to some stupid flaws (I.E. no hands and thus the guns have to be "held" in akward ways on the grill bars), but he can pull off some really bad-ass poses and the gun mode is rediculously awesome, especially when given to DOTM Megsy.

Hercules. I started out hating everything abotu the project especially the price. I came to terms with the price and the project seems to be coming together. Due to that I have become obsessed with the figure.

Well at the NJCC I fell in love with Omega Supreme and I picked him up. Love him even more now that I have him. I think I am also going to take a stab at fixing his electronics.

Also saw the G1 dinobots at the NJCC. Now they are my new hunted item. I may get the KOs to have them minty new.

I'll admit nothing gets me interested like an addition to the fiction. Generations held no interest to me untill I looked up the name and went "Oh yeah! Skullgrin!"

Or the first alternators Ravage, cat head on tracks body...LAM! "Oh wait it's Beast Wars Ravage!? NAB!
