Is this realy sucky band? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJCO4DSc6a0&feature=PlayList&p=527A544390D0677B&index=1
Nope. Slipknot's first two albums (not counting Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat.) are two of my favorites ever. Their new stuff is still decent, but when Corey's voice went, so did their edge. Disasterpieces is the best concert dvd ever, in my opinion.
nice one fosterlager... on the other hand, i did have the opportunity of meeting Sid.He's really cool . he goes by DJ Starscream too.
And he's got a decepticon logo tatooed on the back of one hand, and I think an autobot logo on the other.
Ugh I would find it hard to start a new band these days. 15% of music is legally downloaded? Also amongst all the bands who have been around for awhile working to get their first major single. Anyways I have never followed much of slipknots music but they are not a bad band.
I think it's better to be in a band these days. With the power of the internet you can promote and distribute your music yourself, so whether you have any success solely depends on you being REALLY good. As opposed to waiting for a cokehead record label dude to decide your gonna be a smash hit and then sign you up to a contract that doesn't make you any money anyway... The current situation is only really hurting record labels and their cynically manufactured pop music, not aspiring musicians, so it's all cool by me. And Slipknot ain't so bad, they used to better, but I wouldn't say sucky at all. Not like Nickelback or something.
