I used a female bossfight HACKs neck joint (big side), a nail, and the ball/post off the Studio series head to make a new barbell to hold the Igear head. It is much smaller than the stock one, so no problems transforming, and with one screw I can switch it to the non cy-gar one.

    Next step, those hands.

Only nitpicking, but don't you think that the neck could have been a liiiiiiiiitle bit shorter?

Great custom BTW. I think that is the definitive Kup head by far.

I hope someone makes a new head like this designed for SS86 Kup, especially since mine came with botched paint on his head.

Yes, it could have. That being said, it is only 1.0mm longer than the stock one, and the stock head couldn't look up at all. Now he has more ability to tilt in all directions.

The body that head was made for was actually taller, so I don't mind the size. It's the hands that bug me. They should be more in proportion to the head. May end up using those open ones so I gain the rotation joint, and open look better IMHO anyways.

It's the neck that makes this head look off on the SS86 body.
The hands are too big, yes.

Does the color match? Or is it way off?

As suspected, this doesn't really work well, unfortunately. It's simply too small and doesn't match the aesthetic of the figure.

Geeze people on here need to learn how to quantify. So successful: it is attached, the piece I made is not snapping in half, it fits in transformation. It has accomplished those goals.
Opinions: does it work FOR YOU? Does it work FOR ME? HINT, if everyone has an opinion, and someone is posting something they did, assume it works for their taste, and don't pretend your taste is fact.
Is this head small on the figure, yes, is Don Figueroa my favorite TF artist, yes, does Don draw/design tinier heads on his TFs, absolutely. Is this head "simply too small" no. Does it fit the design aesthetic of the figure? Opinion. I feel yes, as most of the helmet is smooth, and the SS his more smooth than WFC, the vent details are similar to the details on the back of the thighs.

It's close enough for me. The helmet is closer color match than Sunstreaker's chest is to his foot.
My bench pics are in artificial light, my height companion pic is natural light. It looks closer in natural light.

It looks poorly proportioned. His head is far extended beyond where his neck ends, this is not a matter of opinion, it is fact and you simply fail to see it because you're too blinded by having made this work. Functional success, failure otherwise.

All critiques and/or praise in here are a matter of opinion. That is generally understood, so I'm not sure my opinion warrants this response. It doesn't work for me. It won't work for many, if not most, who thought this would be a viable option.

I'm glad you like your custom. As long as you are happy with it, that is all that really matters.

Ok, last pic I post on how this is not out of norm for transformers. RTS Jazz has the same height, wider chest, wider biceps, and the heads are the same mm size.

Looks good. Interesting attachment method. Proportionwise it looks consistent with how transformer heads generally are. This mold works perfect for cygar kup too!
