    1. Could we get a Legends Ravage?

    2. Any information about the next Transformers line/cartoon? Could we expect a more adult feel to it, like GI JOE RESOLUTE?

    3. You said not all ROTF Constructicons will be made into toy form but could we still expect to see a Voyager or Deluxe Scrapper since the CGI art makes him very "toy possible"?

    4. Beast Machines 10th Anniversary is coming up, Any possibility of making new molds of the on screen characters and make them show accurate. The toys of that line was kind of a let down for me. Maybe under the universe line if you do decide to bring it back?

    5. Any other plans for G1 Reissue's in the future?

You, like about 90% of the people posting in this thread, have apparently not read the first post.

Hasbro can't and won't answer questions about upcoming products. Because they just don't want to make "promises" for things that aren't firmly decided yet, and thus subject to change. If a toy is in a very very early design stage, Hasbro reasonably won't give conclusive answers about said toy if there's still a lot of things that could happen which would lead to the cancellation of said toy, or severe changes to it. So when they don't answer those questions, it's not because they are evil bastards who deny their loyal fanbase answers the fans are entitled to. They just don't want to promise or deny something that's still pretty much up in the air. So that's why a lot of answers are just "we would like to do this when opportunity arises" without any conclusive "yes" or "no".

And once things are pretty much nailed down, once Hasbro can theoretically confirm stuff, chances are those toys will pop up on Chinese auction sites before the official Hasbro answers come in. And of course once the Hasbro answers come in, some fans will inevitable complain how "lame" Hasbro are for only telling us things we already found out thanks to stolen toys from China two days earlier. (This is nothing against stolen protos as sources for news. It's just an observation how things work in this fandom.)

So in essence, any "Hasbro, will you release a new toy of character X" or "Hasbro, when will you release toy Y" kind of questions are really a waste of time. The best thing you can hope for is a confirmation of a toy you will see photos of a month later. With only three questions every three months, don't you think that's pretty much a waste of a slot? I know everyone wants to see their favorite characters made into new toys, but when we have a chance to find out more of the behind-the-scenes goings-on at Hasbro, Takara and such, and all people are interested in is finding out about toys that will warm shelves by next March two months early, the Q&A sessions are really a waste of time.

There's so much stuff we could ask Hasbro. "How does the design process work?", "Who is the definite authority on the movieverse canon?", "What was up with those protos we saw three years ago which never materialized as toys?", "How has Hasbro's position towards Transformers as a mythology-based franchise changed over the years?", "How do you decide which size class toys of certain characters get developed for?", "What are these weird buttons on toy Z for? A cancelled gimmick?" and numerous similar questions can get very interesting answers that have a lasting benefit for the fandom. The answer to "When will you release a new toy of my favorite character?" may become obsolete by tomorrow, when the new ROTF Rail Racer toy pops up on Taobao.

The bottom line: Don't expect any "breaking news" from the Q&A sessions. There's already plenty of channels for such news. Consider the Q&A sessions as a chance to get answers to questions you've always wanted to ask Hasbro, not to learn about their plans for 2013.

But then again, I know people probably will ignore me, just like they keep ignoring the boldfaced disclaimer in the first post.

    1. Are there any developments in the Transformers fandom in the recent past that have significantly altered your strategy for the line? Have there been any trends that have surprised you?

    2. The last few toylines (TFTM, Classics, Animated and ROTF) have represented a kind of shift of control of the direction of the franchise away from toylines and concepts originating with Takara. Is Hasbro planning on maintaining this momentum for the next iteration of the property, or are they going to pass the ball back into Takara's court to see what they come up with?

    3. Repaints are a fact of life in most toylines, Transformers are no different. However, in recent years there has been a stronger and stronger trend towards giving repaints new headsculpts and other remolds, as well as much more carefully thought out paint schemes and character stories. Was this by any chance inspired by the success Convention exclusives have enjoyed with basically this strategy?

There's been a lot of talk about what kind of questions we should ask and why they can't really tell us anything, and maybe we should just ask them something very mundane.

But I was wondering what if we just came right out and asked very bluntly: what kind of stuff are you working on right now? Granted, there's no guarantee that what is being developed will make it to market. But is it mostly stuff for a next series? Is it Universe type stuff? Is it movie stuff? Is it characters and concepts that haven't yet been assigned to any particular line? Is it a mix?

Maybe we should balance it by asking 2 'safe' questions and one probing question.

Here are the questions i would like answered.
    1. Are we ever going to get a US version of Transformers Tatakai for any system?
    2. Can you give specifics on the rumored Transformers video game due out in 2010?
    3. Any though into creating an MMO or Sandbox game like GTA from the rich Transformers Universe?
    Thank you.

Thanks to Nevermore for pointing out the first post. I had gotten a little excited and skipped it. However, with Nevermore's explaination, it makes perfect sense. I've quoted it here so folks can read it again.

On that note, here's my new question...

Do you look at things customizers do for inspiration for future toys? For example, when a customizer finds a way to modify a toy that gives it more functionality, does this give your engineers ideas on how to improve your molds?

What's the point in asking them things if we won't get exciting answers? All we can do is ask them nonspecific questions which will probably get nonspecific answers.

Can we see a new TV series based on Evolutions- Hearts of Steel or an animated TV series based on the events between ROTF and the 3rd film

Hasbro has already answered this question. While it is well known that Hasbro keeps tabs on the fandom, they do not glean ideas from Radicons to generate ideas. They have their own staff who create their own ideas outside of the fandom.

Simply put, we're not bound by things like safety regulations and budgets restraining certain modifications from being done.

-How does Hasbro decide which of the concept drawings will eventually become actual toys/characters ie we've seen pictures of the Model T Ford Seeker mentioned in ROTF, or the submarine/squid decepticon but no toy of them was made, but characters like Dead End or Rollbar, who are also new toy molds weren't in the movie, and don't seem to be based on any vehicles in the film (like Dune Runner) but still get toys. who decides these things?

-Were any of the other Seekers designed for possible characters, even if you can't tell us specifics

They can't give specific answers on upcoming product. There's plenty of questions about current and past product, the general working process at Hasbro, cooperations with other companies, and lots of other stuff.

As I said before, if all you're interested in is finding out in advance which toys will warm shelves in six months' time, the Q&A is pretty much a waste of time, and rightfully so.

When you have a chance to ask Hasbro, it makes more sense to ask things you likely won't get an answer through other channels. Asking Hasbro to confirm stuff you will find out about anyway two months later is pointless as far as I'm concerned.

They've answered that several times already. We're not getting any more in the ROTF line.

There is a group of fans called 'the Shadowcons' who are claiming to be working with you to bring their fancharacters to life as part of the toyline or fiction, and are now claiming that the next cartoon will be movie-based. Are these things true, and if so, which of these things are true?
