Can clear nail polish be used to at least quick fix, say, the cracks that form in the Classics Seekers tailfins?

If its actual cracks it would be a cheap fix to hold them together i doubt it would do anything for the looks of the crack. Once its broke its broke sadly. Now if its just stress marks there are ways to fix the appearance but not the problem.

right where the pin is. The fin is loose right now, but I want to try to get it stabalized while Hasbro remains mum on a US Thundercracker
