Bha. This isn't true. Once a girl called me on my cellphone telling me the pants I wore that day in scholl looked great on me. Perfect average friendly phonecall. Another time, this girl took a cat hair off my jacket. Boy... she wanted some. See? I can interpret signs. This study is inaccurate.
I actually believe it's more about what people are interested in/on their mind when they are looking at the pictures.. and that it's not always easy to determine another person's nonverbal intentions.. especially when it comes to this.. those pics are based on another survey.. just to try and determine the correct answer for each pic.. It makes me think of this one picture my psych teacher showed us It was a mother peeking through a door looking at her child who was either playing or sleeping.. can't remember that.. and how different people can view what the mother is doing One interpretation of that picture from a patient was that it was a mother who just couldn't leave the kid alone and won't let him do his own thing without also getting involved in it. There are just too many factors, I think
I could read women's nonverbals, but it would be too close to paying attention to their verbals. I'm happier just altogether tuning them out.
