Prime and Bumblebee are musts, but Barricade does absolutely nothing to move the needle for me.

anyone else gonna get this Barricade as their G1/Legacy Style Barricade? Thinking of painting more black and red eyes once I get it. Maybe add some purple highlights on the wheels.

Didn\'t like the straight Prowl/repaint as Barricade.

Yeah. Those feet and the excess kibble are nasty.

They should have gone with the rumored Seeker mold, but alas.

Mostly disappointed because of my sky-high expectations.

OP: From afar, the bot mode looks like Optimus Primal in alt mode in G1 color. The old Deluxe class is still perfect at its size. I'd be satisfied if Hasbro upsized it and able to add a waist swivel & add a four-fingers open/close articulation. Other than the axe, it makes me want to search if there's an OSKO of the original!

Bee: new version fixed the limbs, but messed up the torso. So a "side-grade"?

Barricade: "Can not unsee" Donald Duck feet. The hip kibbles are gigantic. Alt mode reminds of Prime Beast Hunters Wheeljack. Bot mode looks like a pre-tool for Megatron. Doesn't look bad actually, but the articulations sucks (looks like only got ~45 degree elbow & knee bend).

I'll probably get one out of the three figures.

Did they actually put that on the box?! *check* Wait, on the box that backwards knee section, that sticks up way above the leg, isn't even there, it looks like it was trimmed off, or something. Weird.

Don’t think so, that would put the hollow parts of his thighs facing out.

All in for any and all WFC/FOC toys. Can't wait to see Megatron, starscream, and Sideswipe. Also glad they're fully venturing out to game designs. ROTF and DOTM Warpath hopefully won't be to far behind.

Optimus looks great. So much better than the old one

Bumblebee looks pretty bad, but hes 100 percent mistransformed

    Barricade looks pretty decent too

    Barricade:
Multi colored outside clip-on wheels. Virtually no paint apps. Hollow spaces galore. $25 bucks? Nope. When it goes on clearance.

    Bumblebee:
Chest should collapse but just sticks out. Janky super thin thighs. Better paint apps than Barricaide and pinned wheels. $25 bucks? Nope. When it goes on sale.

    Optimus:
Complete and utter lack of paint apps. Completely hollow thighs. Clip-on wheels. $35 bucks? Nope. When it goes on sale.

AND between the last ROTB movie toy reveals AND these toys Hasbro has OBVIOUSLY told the designers to cut WAY WAY WAY back on paint apps. Yet ANOTHER cost cutting measure and we're still paying the inflated prices.

Yeah this is kinda like saying SW Vintage Collection is "mainline" but Black Collection isn't. Both absolutely are.

Stuff like the anime reissues of G1 toys they started doing? Much more niche stuff. But SS is just as much a mainline as Generations.

these all look good, and i'm so excited they're doing the weapons that can swap out the arms.

prime looks the best, if a bit underpainted (though that's no issue considering he comes with both his gun and his massive axe), bee has a beer gut but i couldn't care less and barricade looks to have piss poor knee and elbow range, which i'm not too fond of but it's overlookable.

cannot wait to see megatron, cliff, sideswipe and screamer.

Am I wrong in thinking the original deluxe WFC Optimus looks just as impressive as this new voyager, if not more so? Transformation and paint certainly seem more detailed on the original, and the voyager somehow has even worse-looking hollow thighs; gosh dang, those look cheap.

Makes me wonder, why not just re-release the originals, instead of going to the trouble of designing brand-new molds that don't appear to be a significant upgrade in quality.
Ah... wouldn't be a classic Hasbro photo shoot without some egregious mistransformation! :lol

studio series is mainline, except they try to be as accurate as possible to the models used in the media they're representing. they have the same budgets and the same prices, though i reckon in terms of these guys, bee should have been made a little smaller to properly take advantage of the budget.

You are not. Deluxes from that era had more plastic parts (and more pins and screws) than some voyagers from today.

probably cause the original molds were all deluxes with little attempt of holding anything to proper scale. also the budgets have changed in the over a decade in-between the releases of these lines
