I found these figures at specialty shop Megalopolis in South Salt Lake, Utah.

Not US retail. As you said, specialty shop. They got 'em early. Needs to be Kmart, Meijer, Target, Walmart for it to be retail sighting worthy. I know Seibertron posted it as news, but it's not a real story, sadly. Congrats on getting them, though!

So a specialty shop doesn't count as retail? They sell them to the general public... ‍♂️

A single specialty store in a single city doesn't equate to the figures being available at retail. Them getting the wave is maybe an indicator that they will start hitting the actual retail market, but until then, this isn't anything more than a toy seller getting early stock.

I have to tell you the way relevant news is constantly late, inconsistent, or missed altogether on the sites anymore I wouldn't shoot the messenger.

The problem is that with specialty stores, you can't necessarily be certain about their distribution chains. They could very well route some of their shipments through Asian suppliers for the sake of being "early", or break street dates on the sly.

People are more interested in the general (mass) retail angle, because that signifies that the toys are hitting wider distribution and it's time to start hunting. Specialty store sightings are generally only relevant to the local people that that store serves.

It's already been explained, but please don't make it about gender, don't think I didn't see your little addition at the end there.

No, they don't. Just because they sell to the public doesn't mean they follow the same guidelines or distribution as big retailers, especially when it comes to release dates which is the point in question here. A specialty shop getting the wave from whatever source is not indicative of official distribution among Walmart, Target, etc. By that logic the TLK Optimus in the photo would also be "at US retail."

    This reflects poorly on you.

I will NEVER order from this store again, but at least the figures are apparently getting closer to release. My daughter want the BB Jeep, and I have it ordered at Target.

Shatter is definitely my most anticipated release from this wave.
