Why? Why did this need to come out as liquidation started?

 

I actually found one today! Okay, they had like 8 of them. 7 of them were in boxes that looked like they had someone drop kick them across the store a few times, sadly. They made the 2017 TRU MP-10 boxes look like mint in comparison.   The 8th box was the pristine survivor, so I bought it.  

Now to figure out whether to keep MISB because it's a TRU exclusive or open it up? At $29 after tax, I just can't justify buying 2.

They are showing up in the Central Florida area now. What a great toy. Never got Nitro so it is all new to me. Thundercracker is one of the few characters I’ve tried to be a completionist with, so the excitement of a new exclusive deco coupled with the concern that it wouldn’t make it down to Florida due to the bankruptcy...well, I do appreciate the assistance from everybody on these boards. It was a big deal when this Toys R Us opened in Daytona Beach back in ‘85. I distinctly remember that weekend. So, it’s a shame to see them go but I’m glad this can be my last purchase from them.

Picked up both Quake and Triggerhappy at Ollies for $8 a piece. They look pretty good as replacement heads for Thundercracker honestly. The blue on Triggerhappy is a shade too light, but doesn't look too bad. The yellow eyes match the yellow on the chest. So does the yellow face on Quake, although the gray on Quake is not really a match for the gray on Thundercracker....

Just wondering if anyone has seen this in Canadian retail. I have not been to a Toysrus for a while.
