Thundercracker TRU exclusive (nitro zeus repaint)

The head looks like a cross between Movie Starscream and a Spider.

 

That just doesn't register as Thundercracker to my eyes. Great mold, I don't think the head nor the bot colors work though.

 

The spider like head will take some getting use to but I love the dark blue.

 

That head is, uh, unsettling to say the least.

 

I always thought Starscream had like a Parrot head, now Thundercracker has a Spider like head. What's next, Skywarp have a Fly head?

Weird. He seems kind of out of place in this line, considering it's otherwise been a "Greatest Hits" line-up, entirely devoted to more accurate versions of on-screen characters.

...But I guess there are no other movie lines left!

 

No he had a plug like head so in essence that trend is broken.

 

Thundercrackers vehicle mode is very g1 color scheme and the robot mode defiantly bay.....so is that a win win?

 

Wow, I love it. That head is too cool and I dig the intake knees. Bought.

 

I'm not sure I'm following this. Why is NZ being repainted as SW?

With ALLLLLL the billions of repaints that can be done right now, THIS is the decision?

 

Huh. I actually really like that Thundercracker.

I never really liked Stinger with his insect looking head and this definitely seems to take cues from that but this to me just looks better.

I might actually have to pick this one up. I don't own Nitro Zeus either so it might be a good way for me to get a hold of this mold.

Edit: It's interesting too that they're packaging him saying he's from Dark of the Moon. Since he's an "original" character he could have been placed in any movie but it's interesting they picked that one.

 

Well he was in the idw movie comics (idk if they're canon or not), so I guess Hasbro thought that they couldn't put him in aoe or tlk, so he ended up in dark of the moon as one of the many cons to go through the space bridge.

 

I am digging the colors of the jet mode, but not the bot mode.

If that was on the store shelf, What Country was it found in? I wonder if he will ship with wave 1 when the studio series actually hits TRU in the U.S
Edit- on sibertron I believe the Founder of the thundercracker said it was found in Escondido, California so this is in the U.S

 

How random. Is that head based on any of the random Genericons from DOTM?

 

The figure feels like it’s trying to be really G1 while also not G1. It’s weird, but I like the look of it.
