It seems crystal clear to me. The statement that he wished all deluxes could be this good preceded the "I hate when they make toys this good. It raises the bar and expectations" statement. You'd have to ignore his first post (which you replied to, so you didn't) as well as the second half of the second post. (which you also didn't, since it's included in your second reply to him) The context was all there, plain as day. The only way it isn't obvious is, well, if you isolate the singular sentence "I hate when they make figures this good" which is neither all he said nor at all obvious what he actually meant.

Fantastic robot and car mode but I absolutely loath the transformation. Is there a way to turn the waist without bumping to his back hinge? It just massively frustrating as I haven't finished painting him up and it has already scratched the paint.

Mixed matching orange and added it where appropriate, plus some further accents.

(The damn rear lights were perfect and I didn’t know they got messed up until I just transformed him back to take these pics. Crap.)

Good work. Always make sure the paint is dry before you transform it. Just got some paint in too. Tons of missing orange paint in alt mode. Gonna work on it later.

It dried and cured over 10-days and had four coats of cured clear coat on top of that. It’s the nature of the transformation that caused it and I don’t see how to avoid it, which sucks.

Testors gloss tangerine, flat yellow, gloss red and gloss black, mixed until it worked. It did take awhile to get it there. I then had to store it over a few days to do the multiple coats.

I've had two copies of this.

The first was at the end of last year and had woefully loose hips that kept popping off. I transformed it once and then just left it because everything just turned to scrap every time he was posed or transformed.

I took a gamble on a second copy last night and I'm glad I did. This is easily the best Studio Series deluxe. With proper QC this hits all the key points for me.

    - Realistic, sleek alt mode.
    - Fun transformation. Too many of the SS deluxes transform by simply having a car shell ball up and turn into a cape. The way that this integrates part of the car into the arms and legs really tickles me.
    - Poseable, characterful robot mode that is also solid.

This is a real winner for me.

Sometimes I feel a bit lucky when I get these figures. With this one I feel very lucky because it was the last brand new one at retail price on Amazon. I wonder if this'll ever be seen on toy shelves because ot seems to be selling out fast
