He's got a surprisingly complicated combination of slot in tabs, slide in tabs, and plugs in holes for this transformation, but he also looks very good in all modes. I actually really like the way the robot mode feet push him up like he's hovering in car mode.

I wasn't going to get him, but I happened to see an Amazon Warehouse listing for a damaged box for cheap.

The box was badly slashed, it looks like whomever opened the case slashed the box several times and then someone returned it via Kohls. The figure inside and even the backdrop were fine though. Mine has a minor paint issue on the helmet, but I can live with it.

TBH, I think TR Blurr is the better Transformer in every area outside of foot articulation and deco. Transformation feels like they were trying to re-invent the wheel on TR Blurr's; I don't know if I had a minor QC or the issue was me, but the T post for the legs tore a bit trying to go back to robot mode the first time, so I ended up shaving that peg down clean and now it slots and unslots better. The arms are quite clunky even if they are closer to official source material. I do like the gun and the hand welder though, so that's neat. The face doesn't bother me in person.

Though I do get the impression of speed looking at him, so Blurr he is.

At full price, I would've been fine passing on this guy. On sale/discounted, he's probably worth it, though your mileage may vary.

Got this guy to round out my main 86 cast and I do love him aside from some nitpicks, primarily with the Wrists.

Though I've noticed his ab section looks like it's on a hinge of sorts but when you turn him around that area is a solid mold. Anyone find out what it's for?

Is that the tab that folds up his carseat in vehicle mode?

I surprised myself this weekend by picking this guy up instore ahead of a lot of other figures I wanted.

Based on the pictures I had seen on this site and others, I didn't like the figure at all and was planning on displaying the other SS86 cast with my G1 Blurr.

However, this guy looks a lot better in person than in pictures. The head sculpt, which I didn't like at all in the pictures I saw, actually looks fine in person.

The overall figure is very close to how he looks in the movie. The colours on him are a bit lighter than in the movie I think, and the robot chest in the movie looks a bit more raised and a bit more rounded than on the SS86 figure but overall he looks very nice....with the exception of the arm kibble hanging under his forearms.

Urrrggghhh, I didn't like them in the pictures I had seen and they are every bit as bad in person as I thought. When the arms are angled down, it's fine as you don't see it but if you raise the arms to point his gun or whatever, you have these big square holes hanging under his wrists and it looks terrible. It looks like a big basking shark with it's mouth wide open!

The pieces as a whole are just too big on the figure compared to the animation version and are relatively heavy so overtime I can see these getting lose and hanging down without some kind of assistance like bluetack or something.

I wish they had found someway to make these smaller or be able to detach so they could be taken off the robot form. I might see if I can get them off without doing any permenant damage.

On the whole though, a nicer figure in hand than I expected it to be and I'm not sorry I picked him up. The under arm kibble is very off putting for me so I'd grade him a C+ overall. He'd have been a B plus if the arms could have been done a bit better.

Anyone know if any 3P company made better forearm pieces for Blurr?

I just picked this guy up...does anyone else's Blurr feel extremely loose? His forearm pylons don't really stay tabbed in...they flop out at the slightest posing. Nothing that can't be fixed with clear nail polish, I'm guessing?

Decided to give this figure a chance even though I have Takara Legends Blurr.

He was even more awful than the pictures made him out to be, Especially the headsculpt. it was nightmare fuel. The arm kibble was ugly and annoying. I traded it away shortly after getting it.

    Do not reccommend.

I wonder if the Generations Blurr head would fit on this body for a more IDW-accurate look.

After getting Legends Blurr I low-key don't want this no more. The only thing this one has ove the Legends imo is the light piping

Pretty late to the party, but as a late birthday gift to myself I picked him up. And I think he's really mediocre. Robot mode proportions are kinda weird (although the headsculpt honestly doesn't look that bad in-person), and the underslung pod thing on one of his arms doesn't want to stay pegged in, which is annoying. And that transformation just isn't fun, there's way too much flexing for my liking and the process of tabbing the legs together takes too much force for me to be comfortable with it, not to mention the shoulder pieces never having a good time to fold down without getting in the way.

Vehicle mode looks nice at least, and while it's not ideal, the weapon storage is kinda cute with how the welding block thing tabs on backwards behind the gun.

This bot mode just looks so goofy. Sticking with the TR one… despite the HM gimmick I wish it didn’t have.

I just picked this up. For some reason (the chin!) the head reminds me of Matt Smith, the 11th Doctor.

    Nautica deserves better.

I got studio series Blurr when he came out. I hate it. It is irredeemable. The Legends figure absolutely kills this thing, despite being a headmaster. I know it’s meant to be movie accurate but it REALLY isn’t. Proportions are a mess, and that face sculpt… what the hell happened there? And why is his head attached the way it is? I hate it when the neck and the head are one piece. Just makes for awkward posing because it limits how expressive the head angles can be.

I still don’t have this mold. I went with the Takara release of Titans Return Blurr who still holds up for me for my G1 representation of Blurr.

I picked one up on discount. For context, I think that TR Blurr is a strong and focused toy with a terrible colour scheme (Oh how I regret going with LG Hardhead instead of LG Blurr), and I do also really like my LG Brainstorm.

What this one has is a good colour scheme, and toon looks if you're into that sort of thing. I don't have my TR/LG figures to hand, but I also think that the leg proportions are improved here, the older figure had high set knees, but I'm not getting the same impression here. The ankles and additional shoulder joint are also welcome. Actually, so far all three uses of this basic tooling (SS, SG and Velocitron) all have been blessed with good colours, which is nice.

I called TR focused above, so I'll explain that. His silhouette was very athletic, he looked like a runner at the cost of some accuracy. Here, it's all about matching the animation cells with the same basic transformation, and that means things like cleaning up the pods on the side of the legs (which leads to the forearm kibble being longer), and the sides being filled out (which makes the transformation less smooth). But, they're valid choices and we already have an alternative.

What gets me though is the tolerances. His ankles, shoulder ratchets and all the boot tabs are rock solid, while there's a lot of wibble and looseness elsewhere. How tight his chest piece is seems to purely depend on how firmly the pin holding it in was installed. The boots are latched up tight, but there's still noticable wobble at the top where the knee cap hinges. The backpack has a couple of small tabs that seem like they should slot into the back of the hinges for the flank parts, but again the final intended outcome seems to have a bit of wobble built in. Overall, it's an inconstistent experience. Not bad, just a dozen little factors conniving to hold this figure back.
