I have stared at this image for five minutes and I still don't understand if they're actually the same height or if I'm missing the joke.

 

They're the same size. When Knight made Bumblebee, he scaled all the robots down, for some reason. I think it's more realistic and brings them closer to us. 30's great, but it's a bit too out of hand. Optimus is massive enough at 16', he doesn't need to be 30'.

So, Volkswagen Bumblebee is now like...12 feet? I think...

If that doesn't give more credence to the series being rebooted, I don't know how else to explain it beyond what's been already explained.
I much prefer the smaller scale, now, also in toy form. We've had nice figures, but this Optimus is without a doubt one of the all-time greatest Optimus Prime figures I've ever seen.

 

I saw this in google that SS38 Prime can actually hook up with Fansproject G3 Trailer.

Can anyone confirm this?

Yeah Knight made the right choices with height. It's just amazing to think about some of those height differences now.

Urgh... after months of agonizing waiting, it's finally shipped. Yes, I didn't pay the stupid scalper prices, but having to wait months after all the hype has died down really sucks.

...that feeling when you've seen so many early reviews or previews of a toy that by the time you get it you're no longer that excited because you've pretty much seen everything there is to see about it and have been "spoiled". (-.-)

 

This is a great figure!! Probably the best Optimus figure ever. This version probably should've been chosen for the Siege line. And vice-versa for the Siege Optimus Prime figure. HasTak really stepped up their game this year. The next incarnation of Optimus Prime will be hard-pressed to top this version.

 

I'm really torn. I want a new prime but dont know if I should go with this, or wait for siege prime to come back into stock here in the UK.

Yeah mine isnt flush transformed either. Its a cool fig, but needed a little more time in the R&D oven. I just leave mine in Bot form. That is where I think it really shines.

 

Mine just came in and while the legs are a little floppy on mine I love the figure

 

The issue is about the middle section not being flush with the rest, not about the entire grill being at a slight angle.

Hopefully, I'll be able to find him. Some stores in my area restock their SS line, but so far no SS-38 Prime.

 

Received this figure today. Pretty cool Prime and cool transformation. I like the alt-mode. Pleasantly surprised by him overall.
