Looks like they gave Drift the Hot Rod paint scheme.  So far not really feeling it for this Transformers line.  Seems like we\'re just paying more for more paint.  

 

So Studio Series is just becoming a line of really weak figures. I wanted to get them all but VW Bumblebee is poor and a repaint of an old figure is even worse. I thought the point was to get something new or better otherwise why make new molds at all?

 

I look at it this way, I was probably going to buy with minimal interest in a Drift repaint (a character I really couldn't care less about having another representation of) just for the one little dino, so I see this as getting the other two for free. They could have milked me 3 times for figures I don't need in order to get all these dinos, so I would be a fool to pass up on this deal.

 

SS blew its new mould budget in the opening salvo. It was never going to not have redecoes.

Also, Drift isn't a new mould, and VW Bee has never had a figure before, so I don't know what that last line is talking about.

 

It looks like they glued him in place to achieve the upside-down pose.

OMG! The little dino bots are sooooo cute! I can\'t wait to get him. He looks a lot better then the past versions we have gotten of him. I like how the Studio Series look more authinic as their car counterparts.

If you like the little Dinos so much why not just get the Tiny Turbo Chargers?

 

I think OP was referring to Clunker Bumblebee, the nonsensical “repaint” of SS01 Bumblebee.

 

These SS Mini-Dinobots look great. The free Drift is a nice bonus too

Oh. He’s got all the dinobots. I’m so getting him now! This is gonna be great. I need to ballence out my movie autobots and decepticons anyway.

I mean there's that concept art of a red AMG GT and his whole robot mode in red like the toy plus the promo renders of his red body so chances are the black deco was a late decision...

 

If you do that, more power to you but even if I did already have a Drift, I just don't want those. These Baby Dinobots have more accurate sculpts, proportions, and most importantly to me, they're cuter.
