Yeah, this isn't really doing it for me. I think I'll wait and see if they at least put out a variant with a more movie accurate head. The Studio Series certainly hasn't been shy about doing that sort of thing.

Wait - was that Deluxe Barricade she was sitting next to, or the MPM?

Not too stellar but not too horrible in my book. Alt mode appreciation is super high on this one. Shatter's GTX mode is too sexy to pass up.

God they have dropped the ball on Dropkick and Shatter. These are some of the worst headsculpts I have seen!

Dont understand how the rest of SS is a triumph compared to these guys

Definitely a bummer it\'s the battlemask head. Who knows, maybe they\'ll release a jet mode Shatter down the road with the regular face and we can swap heads.

If only she had her... you know... face.
I'm trying to remember a single second in Bumblebee where she had a mask, and I'm coming up blank.
    So much for movie-accuracy.

Based off concept art while the other SS for the other movies have had years to review the designs.

That would make sense since both have two modes to do that with and create reason to buy both molds.

They did similar with Bumblebee back in ROTF and 07. Where one mold was normal head, the other was battle mask, and the heads were compatible to each other.

This seems pretty likely. We already know we're getting a car mode Dropkick, so I'd be pretty surprised if we don't get a jet mode Shatter.

Next to Dropkick this looks great. Next to anything else, probably not. Figure I am a sucker who bought Dropkick, so I guess I need this. At least there weren't (outside of the cybertron scenes) too many bots in this movie. I can go with small movie lines.

This is Studio Series? I expected better... they could have made the hood angle a bit like on the movie design. And she has no waist rotation either?
Also, just seen the movie today, I don't ever recall her using this battle mask ever in the movie. Then again, it kinda looks better than her real face... I dunno why they could give proper G1-style robot faces to the bots we saw on Cybertron, as well as Optimus too, but then she and Bee had to get Bayformers style weird faces... her mouth moving always looked weird.

Outside of the upcoming Optimus, every single Bumblebee toy has been based on concept art, including unfortunately the MPM and Studio Series. It’s a shame, but this is how every single movie toyline prior to Studio Series is because the toys go into production long before the designs have actuallly been finalised. I expect we’ll get a better Bumblebee, Shatter and Dropkick later in the future. I still highly doubt the Decepticons will ever be triple-changers, though, their designs simply are impossible to be accurate in all three modes. I think the best we can hope for is more accurate modes depicting their car-only robot forms.

I have the inaccurate Dropkick and Bumblebee so I might as well pick up this to complete the set.

I see we have another case of the toy design needing to be finished before the movie design.

This is the same guy that gave us the half transformed Rampage. I’ll hold judgement until I see better photos
