Whelp gonna have to get that blackout somehow just as I finish collecting him
Just 88? Of course
Damn, only 88?! He looks awesome indeed. I remember I went to a collector shop when I went to Oregon and they had a couple of ultra rare repaints of some AoE Deluxes that were similarly limited and they were charging like $500 a pop. Those didn't look that great, but this guy does.
Yeah only 88 Camo Blackout were made, while 300 rusty Bumblebee made.
Another note to add is that person has Camo Blackout number 79 of 88 that were made.
Well that's gonna be hard to get...if ever
Reminds me quite a bit of that '90s sci-fi show seaQuest DSV.
Blackout looks better in this deco. Its unfortunate that the paint isn't going to last, if its continued to be transformed back and forth like that.
Glad to see pictures, as I didn't know this existed at all.
Chinese PLA Camo format - copy of USMC Marpat in different colors
Oh, that's festering ugliness.
The blue camouflage on the robot mode doesn’t look bad. It’s by no means awesome looking, but it doesn’t look bad. For the helicopter mode, though, it just doesn’t look right. Maybe it’s just because I’m used to military vehicles being a standard gray color rather than having flashy camouflage on them.
Anti Social Social Blackout
I'm confused. It's limited only to 88 because it's some kind of custom...but is it literally a hand-painted custom? In some of those pictures, it looks like the camouflage paint isn't factorily-applied, bur rather like someone took a standard-issue grey Blackout and hand-painted a coat of candy coat custom paint.
Heh looks like a navy gunship. Nice
that’s exactly what it is
It is a custom, essentially, but one officially released by Hasbro.
It\'s really cool and interesing repaint, sad it was that small relase
is this the closest we're getting to Studio Series Grindor?
Just wanted to remind people that there are three different rusty Camaro Bumblebees out there:
- TaoBao exclusive 01 (the version from the beginning of this thread)
- Toys"R"Us Singapore exclusive 01
- 27 Clunker Bumblebee
Wait, this really exists? Are we sure it's not a fan paint job? It looks like it's chipping already...
A much more subtle camo pattern would be better but still interesting to see.
Not sure about the Bumblebee, but this blackout is a fan repaint by a so-called "master" (or self-claimed "master") . It's clearly stated on this pic.
His name is "丧钟", translate to "mourning bell".
I read a lot about him on Baidu Transformer forum. 7 or 8 years ago when very few people did repaint in China, he was quite famous then, but his skill didn't improve much, while more and more transformers repaint artists (like "炮手/Gunner" and "小雨") showed up, people started to make fun of him.
But one thing for sure, he is good advertising his work.
Separate names with a comma.
