You got it.
I think Blackout looks pretty cool. Kind of a G2 paint job.
As for "Bumblebee should've been painted like this all along", there's a lot of paint on that figure already, and I'm pretty sure most people just wanted a Bumblebee turning into that iteration of the Camaro again, regardless of it being "custom faded" or not.
...I'm more miffed that they can still pack these guys in vehicle mode
Wasn't "Grindor" the EXACT same animation model as Blackout, including colours? Would thry bother if the SS is supposed to be as screen accurate as possible?
Dude I didn’t even notice that. Thats amazing!
Different helicopter, plus much bigger.
I believe Grindor was indeed a different color. Either way, SS is supposed to be big screen inspired as it states on the box. So really, they can do whatever they want as long as it's Movieverse related and somewhat in scale. We have Thundercracker who didn't even show up in the film, but still, it's considered "big screen inspired".
Grindor it's just a white/grey blackout, and the one we already got it's a bit closer to those colours IMO.
They were different helicopters but the same robot, as they were always intended on being the same character until they later remembered that Blackout was dead.
According to a comment from Mark Hong On Facebook these figures were a special giveaway prize for the customers who bought Studio Series figures from Hasbro CN's TaoBao site at May 15. (One Day only.)
Very easy pass.
Bumbler looks fine.
I expect some kind of repaints in SS, Grindor will be great.
So... my chances of getting Camo Blackout are at zero?
The whole focus of this deco is the rusty car mode. Makes more sense to pack it vehicle mode to showcase that.
Is that "Rusty Grimlock" peeking out at the bottom of the pic?
Looked like it to me.
Bumblebee has me interested, althought it's probably going to forever stay in vehicle mode. Provided I'll be able of finding it.
Blackout is a pass.
Whats that grimlock under bumblebee
That camo paint job on Blackout honestly doesn’t look that bad. But that rusty Bumblebee is what the SS Bumblebee should have looked like in the first place.
Another thing to consider is the photography. In hand may look way different than the promo shots. I've been pleasantly and unpleasantly surprised due to in hand vs. promo shots. I'd just wait for the review videos, unless this really is some ultra-rare exclusive. In which case it either won't matter because you either will never get one, or you're dedicated enough to barf up half a paycheck for a robot helicopter toy.
I NEED THAT CUSTOM FADED BEE YESTERDAY!!! That should have been a wider release.
