Honestly, I wouldn't take issue with this if it wasn't such a boring color scheme. Like, a bright blue bumblebee with teal racing stripes? It's weird, but I can get on board. Or actual proper NEST colors, black with red, green, and silver accents, that could be interesting visually. But they made him fucking grey. Who looks at a character like Bumblebee and goes, "Oh yeah, I'd love that if he were one of the most boring colors imaginable." Even beige would have been more appealing, because who's heard of a beige jeep?

 

I quite like it, but I don't think I'd pay full price for it. If it ever goes under $20 I might bite.

 

Had they simply given this guy red eyes and the Shattered Glass logo I'd be all for it

Hm I guess you could use this as NEST Bumblebee, or headcanon it into Silent Film Era Cartoon Bumblebee and imagine him bouncing slightly in place to a jazzy tune alongside an anthropomorphic cow.

 

Even though it was quiet an ugly design i did dig the '07 arcee concept. An evac version of SS blackout would be awesome! haha

this toyline has been out for 3 years and somehow its target demographic forgot about thundercracker, literally one of the first SS toys out, not being an on screen design lol

It's as movie-accurate as Thundercracker or Universal Megatron or those golden Bumblebees. Perhaps that something is that the line has precedent for doing these weird repaints.

Honestly I miss these wacky repaints of figures, reminds me nightwatch prime and that jungle bonecrusher or the grey barricade

 

SS Thundercracker makes me sad.

Oh, not the toy itself, it's awesome. Just that it was the last TF Toys "R" Us exclusive before the store chain died... I'm not a box saver, but I saved his box for solely that reason.
