    Excuse me, what.

Is this supposed to be a background vehicle themed redeco?

    This one confuses me.
    It's marked as bee movie.
But has the running sam minifig. Who wasn't in bee movie.
Maybe its supposed to be the jeep that bee scanned in the movie? Kinda like how the 07 movie toyline gave us transforming robot toys based on non-transformer vehicles from the movies like Longarm and Landmine.
It ships in April, just like studio 86 Perceptor, likely one of his wavemates.

Not gonna lie, I kinda like it.

I just don't get the point of doing a "Studio Series" for a figure that was never in a movie to begin with.

"alright, we have this jeep bumblebee mold that everybody likes. We made a Cliffjumper and used that to make B-127. What else can we do with it?"
"Military grey? We could tie it to NEST or Sector 7."
    "..."
    "..."
    "Do it."

Yeah this is a weird release. NEST wasn't in Bumblebee, but I kinda dig these colors and the mold is great so I may go for it.

Weaker molds? I'd say this might be the best Bumblebee of the entire line with the 2007/ROTF mold being on par.

That makes three Bumblebees in Studio Series that are completely inaccurate to any live action movie.

The fact this even exists raises so many questions about the direction of the franchise.

Would this be better received with a new head as an off-screen character like they did for the first couple movie lines?

    As-is, seems pretty pointless.

One of the images says Generations Selects, so something tells me that Hasbro is experimenting with Movie-verse Selects figures.

This isn't even an off-screen figure, though, it's a no-screen figure. They could have made this PSP TF1 video game Hound, or done a Stealth Bee repaint of SS49... I have no idea what the idea here is.

On the bright side, this might meen we could get more variant figures in the future that may not have appeared in any of the movies. Something like an Earth mode Cliffjumper for example...

Sorry, I meant less "in the public eye" molds. As opposed to doing a 07 or ROTF Bee to match the NEST concept. I see the confusion.

It’s just an old-school repaint. They have the tooling and needed another use to get their money’s worth out of it.

    The description says:
    • Bumblebee has been re-imagined as a N.E.S.T. Jeep! Figure features vivid, movie universe-inspired deco, is highly articulated for posability and comes with a blaster accessory and mini figure

There you go, BB isn't a reboot it is directly tied to Bayverse.

    I'll grab the popcorn.
