Fun fact: Did you know they changed the CG for Sentinel Prime between the announcement trailer and the final film? Not just his colors, but also the position of various parts, making him look more damaged.

This is the exact same frame compared:

He actually doesn’t. All this kibble was changed for his pre-Earth body, most obviously his wheels that were swapped out for large generic disk-like objects. (Cybertronian wheels?) His colours are also slightly different.

That is a great figure. I am going to hold out as long as I can for a Jazz repaint.

I'm disappointed SS just isn't a line that'd ever give us a Gold Teaser Trailer Sentinel Prime repaint.

Wow I'm surprised nobody's noticed how this toy looks nothing like the movie model.

I'mma guess he was gonna be Jazz in the movie but they changed their minds too late to update the toy people. LOL

    YouTube (Legacy):
I've seen this said around here, but it doesn't make sense. The main aspects of the film were decided upon early in production when they wrote the script and that includes Mirage's hologram abilities (which they took from the Netflix show). At least, early enough to where they did switch from Jazz to Mirage, he would have gotten a different design.

Also, the only Jazz thing about this guy is his alt mode. The robot mode looks nothing like Jazz.

And let's not forget that Wheeljack doesn't really look like Wheeljack either so it's not exactly a one off thing for this movie.

This guy was never meant to be Jazz. It's an accident that his car looks like Jazz. They probably weren't paying attention.

Tbh I think it's because the toy is mostly silver with blue highlights (like G1 Jazz, though in his case it was white) and not colored more like the trailer model. And the fact the SS toy is bulkier than the film version.

You can look at Cheetor, Airazor, Primal etc and yeah, they're clearly meant to be those characters and they look very similar to the original BW versions.

MirageJazzGate will continue until morale improves

Is it just me, or does the SS Mirage head look like Cybertron Landmine's?

People keep saying that they took mirages abilities from the WFC show but… if someone said there was a transformer called mirage and asked you what their abilities might be…you’d say make mirages right?

I really don’t think they stole that, it’s just an obvious power base for a character with that name, like bumblebee having ‘stinger’ weapons

Our beloved characters haven't been showcased on the big screen since 1986. That's the problem.

We got thundercracker labeled as being from DOTM, wasn’t even in the movie.
We got alt modes for characters that didn’t even transform once on screen throughout the line.
We got repaints for existing characters that didn’t appear as decos in any film.
There’s possibility after ROTB and the hiatus of films there’s gonna be hella repaints to sell alongside the WFC and 86 figures. Never say never.
