Same. Contrary to the person you replied to might think. TRUKK/MUNKEY wasn't even the point of my post. I really hate it when he responds to me, I've asked him more than once to just ignore me, or just not respond to my posts. It's tiring. It really is.

    Anywho...

I'm super excited to see them both on the big screen. Kingdom on Netflix didn't cut it, but this? If done right, could be AMAZING!

I don't see how that is comparable. The "Devastator" name attached to Brawl is a very well-known error that even the writers noted as being incorrect. Not only is Mirage called "Mirage" on the toy, but is called by the name "Mirage", at least twice going by that Superbowl spot, in the movie. Not quite the retort that you think it is.

Does it? Bayverse Jazz is already one of the more faithful designs and it was meant to be a more modern take on the design. Jazz looked enough like Jazz already.

People really need to let the similarities to Jazz go. It really is not that big a deal.

Thanks for sharing, I'd only seen what he'd posted with the pics, and Evan's comments from the round table.

Shit, I'm a BW fan who remembers my original reaction to the Beast Machines designs. Those show designs were rough but the story tried some interesting things and the toyline produced some really cool characters. There are elements that fell short during the follow up and I was bummed when they pivoted to the Unicron Trilogy...but I see a TON of fans who came in during that series and have a great appreciation for the toys.

Looking at the RotB toys, I'm hoping it means they want to take a stab at some updated BM toys. Especially since they feel like a team who'd take a run at Botanica finally.

The alt mode is gorgeous. That is a beautiful Porsche.
Robot mode is very chunky. He could use some more paint especially on top of the head. It’s not a bad design. I think his design is pretty cool.
I wonder how different his mainline core deluxe will look from this version. Is there a mainline core deluxe Mirage? I know the only ones that we’ve haven’t seen are the core voyager Optimus Primal and core deluxe Bumblebee.

    Overall Mirage is decent.

I imagine like with Hot Rod figures, the second try down the road will be both much more accuarte and impressive.

We still have not seen how Battletrap looks exactly in the face. Best guess is that the face coud be the same with the glow. We don't know. Also slightly skinnier legs are apparently that big of an innacuracy? I hope I don't have to explain why that's a dumb point as you'd have to delibaretly be grasping on straws. Arcee's wheels are on her legs because her wheels move from her backs to her feet like we saw in the scene with her and Wheeljack and her legs look like that from transformation sake as they are the sides of the bike. Seems less so like the figures are innacurate and moreso just suffering from the fact these are toys and they ain't exactly the same as the on-screen model. As for Scourge you are probably right as I haven't paid much attention to him.
Regardless I still think my point stands and like I said ,I didn't exactly disagree. Just said that we should wait for better shots and pictures. Who knows, perhaps some things might not be that innacurate in the final product even if they are based on concept art. Or they could be. Let's wait and see.

I get your point, but it isn't quite fair. People like to reduce the arguments or criticisms to just be that we hate anything that isn't g1. The toon was goofy, but there was also the animated movie, the marvel and idw comics, animated, prime, the wfc games and much else that grew the lore. The movies by and large don't do anything on the same level as any of the other offerings I stated as it is as hollow and disloyal to what came before it as it can be. You can try and say it's just people hating what's new, but it wouldn't be true as most everyone realizes the movies are pretty much dumb cgi flicks with nothing else to offer, unlike the shows and comics which did new things and often created new concepts and characters. They become part of the larger picture instead of detracting from it. I think the biggest reason is that the movies are designed to appeal to just about anyone, while the shows and comics were targeting transformers fans.
No one is asking to see G1 1:1, but we are asking for a little more respect for the property. The BB movie was a massive step in the right direction, and I hope this movie is as well. I am not judging it until I see it. I am just stating my concern given the track record of bayverse movies that were mostly trash.

Bot mode kinda looks like a gorilla. Thought it was Optimus Primal at first before I read.

When we get non-render pictures of this guy, depending on how he looks in-hand I may just pick him up anyways.

Because it wouldn't take that much customizing to make him into a decent Jazz.

It probably helps that the renders have no transformation seams.

Hmm.  The toy was locked in before the movie was finalized, wasn\'t it?  Good car mode.
