All I have to say , is Hot DAMN ... That DOTM MEGATRON Is to damn awesome to put into words , Just WOW .

 

Jetfire finally has the right head and proportions.
Megatron...oh geez I thought that was a bad custom. Super blocky with cheap looking cloth. There better be more to this, otherwise I think I will stick to the DOTM voyager, which despite being film-inaccurate was still a good figure imo.

 

Like others, I'm disappointed with Megatron's blocky look. I like Jetfire, though. I'll be waiting for an OS KO...

 

Here's hoping that if Megatron gets a full reveal this Sunday, hopefully there are some parts that will be transformed properly.

 

I guess Megatron explains the DOTM final battle backdrop we saw leaked several months back. I was hoping it would lead to a Voyager Sentinel Prime, but now I think it goes with him.

 

Megatron comes with Igor, But Barricade doesn't come with Frenzy?

 

More room for extras in a Leader budget, while Deluxes run on more razor-thin margins.

 

Jetfire is unnecessarily tiny... I blame this on Grimlock. An oversized KO would fix that though. Also Bonecrusher all be it not perfect looks really cool and is an obvious improvement over the deluxe. I'll be waiting for an inevitable oversized KO of him from BMB though.

 

I just saw all the kibble on the back of Megatrons legs... OMG that looks horrible.

 

From the looks of things so far it doesn't look like he does which is a shame considering the original 07 deluxe did while at the same time Hasbro had more budget to work with back then.

I have a suspicion that I'm going to be seeing poorly repacked SS primes when I look at the toy aisles the next few days.

 

Depending on which side you take, SS Prime can be interpreted as “patience pays” or “the folks at Hasbro are scumbags who trick customers into double dipping on their product”.

 

He's probably a smaller leader like Blackout (I mean really he should be the same height as SS13) so the leader budget would allow for what is to all intents and purposes an extra accessory. The deluxe budget probably doesn't without cutting some corners with the main figure.

 

In a year we'll go thru the same argument when they retool the mold again for the TF3 model.

Then we'll get to start all over again with the TF4/TF5 Knight Optimus Prime. Plus the TF4 Evasion Optimus Prime.

 

They better do Knight Optimus Prime well

 

The more I look at that Megatron the more it annoys me that he transforms the wrong way round, with the upper body from the back of the vehicle and the legs from the front. That always annoyed me about AOE/TLK Crosshairs too (plus the fact the wheels ended up on the back of the legs when it would've been simpler and more accurate to leave them on the sides of the feet).
