It's interesting that Hasbro is considering Grindor after Blackout sat on shelves for months (if not a year+). I know fans have been talking about and/or wanting a Grindor, but I'm a little surprised they are going back to the well with this mold.

 

The biggest thing that hurt Blackout was his awful little flap hands, this release appears to have fixed it and I’m guessing they’re banking on the included Ravage to boost sales some.

 

Could do without the shit smears, but I'm interested to see how else the deco compares to Blackout and what differentiates the two. I like what they did with the ROTF voyager back in the day so it'd be nice to see them draw a little from that even if it's not strictly movie accurate.

He seems to be cast in a bit of a lighter grey plastic like they did for the original voyager.

 

the weathering on dotm megatron was done brilliantly imo

 

so i thought that his hands were from the DK-16 upgrade kit, but no they're actually different (so its not a bamboolzling like with the clampdown, devcon and grimlock leaks), which is good to see that hasbro has taken our complaints about blackout's hands and fixed them.

 

The aftermarket for blackout is nearly going for double its retail price, i think its a good thing that hasbro is making grindor because i wouldn't be surprised if people used grindor as their blackout too due to him having hands

Yup that was really unfortunate that blackout didnt have proper hands the only problem i had with figure. The best fix is the dna 16 set, the hands that dna made for blackout are a freaking godsend. I got this set for the sentinel gun and shield but these hands ended up being my favorite part from it.

 

Years later and still no Studio Series Fallen. Aka the one damn figure I\'d want from such a line.

I mean its not like he's the main villain of a movie or anything, right? Okay granted he's the villain of the absolutely worst Transformers movie ever but....eeeeh, he has cool design and I like it no matter how shit the movie might be.

I mean, it's comparing shit to shit--like diarrhea vs a solid bowl snake... but TLK was so, so awful, it was barely watchable. The plot made ZERO sense.

 

People are talking about dotm, sideswipe but where tf are you guys seeing him?

 

I don't even remember TLK. RotF I at least have some nostalgia for. TLK was a fucking yawning fest of incoherence and played out trite I didn't even bother watching until much later.

TLK actually made me angry while watching it, and not like an aggressive nerd rage kind of angry, but more like a quite existential kind of angry.

That movie was just a complete and utter testament to all of the lost potential...I envy the level of innocent naivety it must take to still openly be a fan of the film franchise.
