SS Hot Rod is one of my favorite figured of the year, but he has some major quality control issues. Namely, his exhaust pipes. The silver plastic is brittle, and the mushroom pegs that hold them onto his wrists are very fragile.
As these things do, one side of the peg broke off. I snipped the rest off leaving as much stump as I could. I then looked for an appropriate screw in my screw organizer and drilled a little hole in the part. I wasn't sure how I was going to get it screwed together, but I had a sculpting tool that had the perfect angle to make it work. :)
I drilled a little too far and made a small deformation on the outside of the pipes, but it's not bad.

    Problem solved. For now.

It helps if you don't try to pop them off for fun.

While I was in there, I rounded off his shoulder hinges. That freed up his range of motion a lot.
