Im surprised, but very happy, that ratchet( and by extension Ironhide) are seemingly turning out to the best of GE. His backpack isnt to bad either.

 

Cant wait to weather this figure and see it next to prime.

 

A blackwash is going to absolutely change this figures apperance.

Typically from what I hear a blackwash is getting black paint on a brush, watering it down, and lathering up the figure in the now less potent paint, usually for a weathering/grimy effect

 

Its a painting technique, very common. You take paint, water it down, and then apply it over the figure pretty much everywhere. You then wipe it away so its only left in the cracks/panel lines. Makes details pop and in some cases look weathered.

 

The question isn’t whether I’m getting Ratchet. It’s how many..

Damn the white looks a lot better than it did in the stock photos! Could definitely end up being the best voyager release of the year.

It definitely seems like HasTak has managed to right the ship that is the GE line. The figures have gotten progressively better since the first wave. My only nitpick is that they use paint that’s just way too bright. I would’ve much rather preferred darker shades to kind of match the dim aesthetic of the first game.

 

I\'ll get it because it is Ratchet but the figure looks very cheap. Need some Takara premium finish like the original WFC figures got.

 

It's quite surprising that there's plenty of cybertronian vehicle themed molds.

Quite neat.

 

I want to get that Ratchet for the battle axe.
