Man this will be comparible with the Devil Saviour version when finished. Great work!

 

I am especially looking forward to that chain mod. I want to do that to mine, too. But I want him to still transform into his alt mode in the same way without having anything hanging off of him.

 

Im trying to actually be better than the devil savior version, it looks great, but too many compromises in proportions or robot modes. I especially don’t like his legs or buckethead. O well that’s why I’m making my own.

That may be one of the mods I dedicate to show, should be as simple as adding a hollow tube to his arm and a lego chain.

 

Yeah the proportions of the legs on your Devs already look a million times better. Keep up the good work!

 

So I’m running into a little dilemma, some concept art for devastator shows 3 fingers on his right arm, some show 4. And so far I know how to make 3 fingers work well but not 4, what do you guys think is more accurate?

 

In this shot, it's clearly 4 fingers, but I don't think anyone would be complaining if you settle for 3

 

Somebody asked how I connected Hightower and bucket-head, so here it is.


2 clips added to Hightower,

and the 2 c-clips where they will attach,

mince the are clipped in it holds nicely and then Hightower’s arms are folded over to make sure there is no wiggle in the connection.


And here is my mods to scrapper so far, added a ball joint to his plow feet/fingers, and a rotation joint so his wheels can fold up against his thighs.

 

Wow! This is intense!

 

Quite impressive. Tbh if you overhaul scrapper's alt mode to be accurate you will have enough mass to form a solid arm, but the main problem actually is the robot mode... Like @Mixmaster 27 said, you should remove the combiner port so you can have some space to place some alt mode kibble in the bot's back. And I'm pretty sure you'll find another way to attach the arm to Scavenger

 

I don't think Devil Savior looks very good tbh. This looks so much better. Once you're done, perhaps some 3P company could buy your design and improve and OS it to work with MPM sized figures.

 

Little update for scrapper, added a grill to the front of his vehicle mode to be a little more accurate, and can now be used for the split grill in combined mode.

then fixed up his arms to be 90% complete, added joints to his weird claw arm and new joints for its vehicle mode storage. He now has a ball joint in his old bicep to mimic his shoulder position like in the line art.



Then I also added joints and a chain for his claw arm as well as a hollow but so that it can be extended. It also has a friction connection to his wrist so that it can bend at his wrist.


Also found a cheap front loader like toy and will be using this plow for buckethead.

I am thinking about doing the same to his left "hand" but would that fit with the original unaltered alt mode?

Unfortunately it wouldn’t unless you add the chain, as you can have is store elsewhere on him. But the way I did it, some length is added, so is you did add joints without adding length I think you may lose his wrist bend which you need for transformation.

Thank you, it’s one of the details you can see on his combined mode that is entirely missing from any other devy figure, and I needed a place to store his arms without just being kibble. 2 birds with 1 stone.

 

Are going to make a bucket bucket head?

yea I haven’t added my Hightower and bucket head wip to this thread yet, I’ll get around to it eventually, but they are here atm.

Also a quick update, here is scrappers alt mode so far, the black piece on the back is only resting there atm, still need to incorporate it. but the orange and white sides are already connected and make new shoulder pads for him. I also added rampages cabin as scrappers new one as it seemed way to small for what kind of vehicle scrapper is. And the shovel is just a stand in, I intend on using a bigger one.

but it is perfect size for bucket head so there is that.



here you can see the shoulder pads current placement, may try to make them fit a little closer to his body.

 

The alt mode looks much nicer. Not sure I care for the shoulder pads, but I figured there would need to be some sacrifices.
