Soundwave just looks pathetic in each new media that features this toy

Topspin is a bit more involved but also a panely mess at the same time

 

Topspin's transformation, on a glance, looks quite similar to Roadbuster's. I wonder if they share parts, or if the similar transformations are just happenstance. Regardless, it won't affect my opinion, as I'm still picking him up to have a proper Wreckers trio in the same scale.

 

Im pretty sure roadbuster and topspin use the same forearms

 

yeah soundwave is just very basic to transform.

Hope there is a more involved jet fanmode.

 

I don't think Soundwave's qualifies as a "transformation."   More like mild yoga.

 

Yeah. Even 2007 Megatron who was pretty much just doing pilates in his jet mode had a more involved transformation.

 

Soundwave is so pathetic, they really should have included some weapons or something. Id love to see warden defend that one. Clearly the FOC Jazz of the line(low budget figure to absorb the higher cost of his wavemates in that case, the FOC wreckers)

 

I was on the fence on Soundwave but was more likely to skip. After seeing that video I’m 100% skipping

 

Soundwave is one of those rare instances where the older figure, made eleven years ago, is superior to the newer figure. It’s baffling that they didn’t just take some inspiration from the original ROTF deluxe. Sure it was inaccurate to the CGI model, but it was worth the asking price ($15 I think?). This isn’t even worth $10.

Cliffjumper looks awesome. He actually looks Cybertronian instead of transforming into a nearly Earth based vehicle with greebling.

Topspin will be a must buy. I’ve waited eight years to get the Wrecker’s in my collection. And they look consistent with each other.

 

Cliff looks cool. He’s basically Jeep Bee reshelled. It’s neat to see that the front of Cliff was the back of Jeep Bee.

 

Cliffjumper is awesome, can't wait for the inevitable Bumblebee retool.

 

Weren't the FOC Wreckers the final wave and Jazz wave 1 though? If the FOC line was cheap for any reason, it's for being made in slightly more eco-friendly partially recycled plastic which turned out to be shit for TF use, which was instantly ditched after the line's resounding "meh."

 

Not a fan of that Soundwave. I feel like even the old cyberverse figure was better. At least that one had a giant satellite as a part of him.

 

I would think SS RotF Soundwave would be Voyager size, and definitely a lot more detailed, that is quite possibly the worst SS offering so far. Event TLK (which are basically proto SS) were all better than this

 

Yes but jazz, shockwave, and prime rounded out that case because they were all cheaper to help offset the added weapons and retooling. I just rag on jazz more because hes the worst of the trio

 

Ah, I forgot how cool Shockwave was. I wish I knew where his toe disappeared to...
