Neither did I.
That's an Ebay Auction I wish I never bid for.
I got the two-pack one at a comic place and got to play with the TLK version at a cousin's house and I neither like the looks nor the engineering. Could have been good for a non-film figure, but alas, it wasn't used. The Stinger mold looks pretty rad in my opinion: a tad kibbly but still somehow slick.
I do own the Takara Deluxe repainted Bumblebee Stinger. Always thought that was the best I could do with Stinger. Hey, you can't predict 2018 toys in 2014.
I thought he looked decent, but the Studio Series one...looks better? Well, it's actually meant to be that character, so it should. I'll see if the leaked image has appeared elsewhere in this board for a refresher.
Edit: Nope. I don't want my post obliterated for posting it, so just Google Studio Series Transformers, and it's there, I checked.
Sure, you'd hope for figures of certain characters to be made right when the movie came out. But when you get disappointed that they didn't make the toys, you try an alternate plan. Just then years later, they finally make that character into plastic, right when you've given up that the character will never be. Leader Class Blackout for example. I remember being told Blackout was the largest Decepticon, Even bigger than Megatron. So I thought they should have a bigger scale for 2007 toys. I even remember signing petitions for one and I gave a blueprint of a perfect transformation for Leader Class Blackout to a Hasbro sale rep at Toysrus, only to have it rejected. Next thing you know, years later, they listen to our requests and finally make a Leader Class Blackout, right when I stopped caring at the time. Now look at me!
To bad this trio except for stinger will ever be made retool stinger change the color and give it a random name could work in theory.
Such a ride, and the following redemption seems invigorating! Best thing I've ever done is whine about not getting a good Stinger, 67 Bee, and/or Onslaught (still hoping for him) on boards like this, and craft some shitty Hero Factory things that transform and then almost send the designs to the LEGO magazine. I still build those, but that's really just because the ones I have now are less shitty and I like improving them. I'm also ecstatic about the Studio Series, and believe that it's a great change in the process of making/ distributing these movie toys. It's been over ten years, and we've got tons of material.
Jeez, I just got all of wave 1 (minus Skrapnel) for POTP, and we\'ve already got reports of wave 2 hitting the US, and now price signs of Studio Series being putt up in stores. Man, as BB said in one of the films, and as the song goes: \"I\'m so excited, I just can\'t hide it!\"
Stinger, Western Truck Optimus, Scorn and Crowbar. They all had one thing in common with me. They were all on my want list. However, I still had a few figures, but there are reasons Hasbro will never make. Mirage/Dino for example, I can understand Hasbro has no rights for Ferrari.
Let me tell you something. I always thought Hasbro had difficulty transforming the Claw arm and that's one reason why they didn't make one. I always thought he had like a Captain Hook or Dr. Claw arm, but I recently found out that claw was just his arm weapon. In pictures, I could still see his right hand. Sure, it could make it easier to finally make one now. However, right now I'm just not thinking about them making one. To me right now, he's just another unmade Constructicon.
I'd rather Hasbro make the Chevy drones from AOE. They already have what seems like a free-to-produce our products forever license from them and it's a way to milk a mold for troop building. Just change the color.
Edit: Also forgot that they're actual onscreen characters. The made up characters from alt modes that were onscreen are usually crap.
Please do this!!! I’d own two of the white ones at the very least, one for display, and one to put on the dash of my trax.
I'm partial to red myself but I'd be suckered into one of every color. There was at least four colors that I can remember.
I would take a few in Blue.
you're aware they're toys of fictional characters, so they're all made up, right?
That's who I'm referring to.
These Toy lines should just stick with the onscreen characters.
I couple of the trax drones and a leader class junkheap in the same vein as dragonstorm being composed of smaller guys would be perfect to fill out some of the aoe guys
You know that “trax drones” as a term specifically refers to to the group of drones that transformed into a red, blue, black, or white chevy trax right...?
Edit: NVM, wow I must really be out of it, totally misread this post.
Yep, i want the whole rainbow of that guy
Gotta say, I kinda disagree. The AOE and TLK toylines have done this, with the sole exception of a few characters in the AOE toyline, and they just feel really small. The nice thing about the first 3 movie toylines was, not only did you have onscreen characters, but there was also an abundance of off screen characters to choose from. I wish Hasbro would go back to doing this again.
