That blitzwing looks exactly like the "prototype" from the figure king scans. Really really hope the final figure has a black head instead of white.

 

The mold looks good, but the same could not be said for the color scheme.

 

Okay i don't think blitzwing has a normal left hand and i don't think his cannon is removable but i might be wrong on the last one hopefully

I meant he was stunning more in terms of aesthetics more than functionality. I don't like his partsforming either, but on the bright side he doesn't have to if you install his 3P kit.

I don’t get why these military contractors wouldn’t/aren’t being more chill about letting Hasbro make licensed vehicles. That or Hasbro’s being the schmucks and are like “eh, they’re cannon fodder Decepticons, we don’t need to shell out extra money for a vehicle license...” it’s just bizarre in a line where generally everything else is a licensed alt mode...

 

I'm sad that Blitzwing isn't an F4 in alt mode but like has been said numerous times, there could be licensing issues that prevented them getting it, chances are we'll never know. My problem is the jet just looks too "modern" for mid 80's jet in mass use by the military? Maybe it's just a psychological thing because the jet looks like SS Nitro zeus/Thundercracker, which was supposed to replace the Eurofighter Typhoon that NZ was in TLK.

 

Come on Hasbro! Fix Blitzwing’s head! Why isn’t it black/grey? The jet mode already sucks - don’t ruin the robot mode too. I was so looking forward to this figure. This is supposed to be a Studio Series figure (aka movie accurate). Ugh.

I'm certainly no fan of the partsforming, but otherwise he's a great figure.

Maybe I feel that way because I only paid $10 for him, but other than the lack of a perfect transformation and a slightly wonky looking backpack, I'm very happy with him.

 

A third of his car mode partsforms. This flies in the face of the very concept of Transformers. The vehicle should become the robot, not disassemble and get slapped on the back or arm to call it a "shield." ER Cliffjumper demonstrates a shocking level of laziness for a 2020 Transformer. He's a piece of shit partsformer. Not worth any of my money unless I own the upgrade kit first, and I'll only buy him second-hand so Hasbro gets none of my money to show I won't support it.

But I won't give anyone shit if they like him. I hate the figure, but I won't hate a person for liking it. You do you.

 

Many folks on here will tell you that you certainly don't need to explain any of that to me, as I've complained about the partsforming since the moment we found out about it.  

The partsforming sucks...I get that, and agree wholeheartedly, and I prefer a pure transformation as well unless it's a legacy transformation such as Omega Supreme, combiners, Headmasters etc. But despite the lack of full transformation, the figure itself, the bot and car mode, are pretty great. A piece of shit it is not...a disappointment however, it is.

It's ok to complain about a figure, but putting it in the same classification as Armada Sideswipe is slight overkill.
