Just got Battletrap in

 

He looks badass.

 

idk if this backdrop is the same one as the trailer or not.

 

I like how the box art spoils the movie a little bit. Now we know the transwarp key will be chilling in a museum in NYC.

Yeah, it's the same setting where BB gets stabbed. So I guess he gets offed early on in the movie.

 

Could you confirm if he has some sort of battlemask gimmick, or could you take some closeups of his face? I noticed from earlier pics of the toy that the eye section looks a little different from the pic on the box.

 

So the boxart has concept art on it. The toy does not have a battle mask gimmick

 

No clue how anyone expected a battle mask gimmick out of him with how tiny these figures have gotten.

Tbf that is more a visor than an actual mask.

 

Two Movieverse bots with ball-and-chain weapons and neither of them were reflected in the toys.

Hasbro literally could have just ripped off Unicorn Gundam's head transformation, where the faceplate just tucks away into the cranium, and dropped the side panels doing a 180 spin.

 

True, but Battletrap's Battlemask looks more like a visor than anything else imo.

 

Last thing I needed was to be reminded how much it looks like a gundam.

 

That looks way less like "the character has a face mask" and more like "they painted the sculpt they had to look like the reference material they had."

 

Battletrap has to have one of my favorite face designs of the franchise, the burning orange glow is the icing on the cake. Might have to break my ‘no movie toys’ rule for him.

 

I am honestly sold on Battletrap. Until I complete the rest of the Terrorcons which I will take my time doing so, he is definitely becomming a Decepticon on my shelf.

 

Yeah visually he’s so far my favorite ROTB figure. Definitely waiting on a sale, but I do want to try and get it. Something about the combination of actual color seperation, chunk and vehicle parts just works.

 

Same here. Considering how the first waves of SS get distributed here, once a store gets him for low enough I am biting. Also grey and orange is just a very awsome combination of colors and they absolutely nailed the color seperation on this guy. It's very sharp.
