I felt the same way about my RTS Wreck Gar, and the two other Junkion repaints. I loved them. They were permanent residents of my display shelf while others get rotated over the years……Until now. This new Wreck Gar blows the RTS one away on every metric. I can’t even look at the old ones now, they’ll remain as background Junkions (in the way way back). If my kids grabbed them off the shelf and shattered them with a hammer, I wouldn’t care. The SS’86 one is THAT good.

Isn’t that sort of common with motorcycles? Not standard, necessarily, but certainly a style I see frequently.

Motorcycles usually do have a thicker real wheel. It increases contact with the road while the front tire is slimmer for better steering.

Ah, OK. I just assumed he would've come with two of the same wheel. Despite being a fan of a franchise about robots turning into vehicles I know absolutely nothing about vehicles:dunce

TBF I feel like nobody would've batted an eye if the wheels were the same, but whoever designed this toy clearly put a lot of detail and thought into it. :thumb

If I grabbed a hammer and smashed SS86 Wreck-Gar, would you love your RTS Junkions more?

Has anyone figured of wreck gar can securely ride himself? I see where there’s a slot and a tab but I can’t get my two to sit securely, the tab seems slightly too long for the slot.

I know someone might’ve found the solution in this thread but it’s difficult to skim back that far

It's hard to tell, but in the instructions it looks like the thicker wheel goes up front. I assume to do with the spacing between arms/legs not being the same.

I’m looking at the instructions now, and don’t see what you are saying. I just go by the fact that every motorcycle or bicycle I’ve ever seen are rear wheel drive (ie, bike chain in the rear). That’s the norm. I’m sure anyone can Google up some special custom bike to the contrary but that doesn’t change the basic way bikes are designed. The fat wheel in the back makes more sense in a practical sense but we are all free to do what we want to our own toys. So do as you please.

It's a giant motorcycle made from a robot in a junk planet that looks like a folded up robot and speaks in references. At this point, I'm sure realism is thrown out the window.

Now that I got mine today, I can say that, despite it being more logical for the rear wheel to be wider, it's designed for the wider wheel to be in front. Everything is juuust slightly out of alignment the other way around.

Anyone know if you can have this 86 Studio Wrek-Gar specifically ride on top of the original G1 version? I know you can\'t do it the other way around because G1\'s robot mode does not have articulated legs that can go around the sides of the Studio 86 bike mode, but can Studio 86 robot mode sit on G1 bike mode and fit well? Can anyone post pics showing this so we can see for ourselves. Thanks so much!

I can't speak to the directions (I could barely make out some of the details...man current ones really suck.) but on my figure, this is how it works. The other way around does not.

I don't think anyone's trying to throw down, just pointing out that it doesn't work for their specific copy of the figure. It certainly doesn't for mine. I tried putting the thicker wheel on the back and it just wouldn't go together at all. There was also a lot of play on the front wheel when I swapped them. With the thicker wheel up front, everything locks up nice and tight on mine so that's how I've been using it since. That said, knowing the thicker wheel goes in the back, in reality, is nagging at my OCD a tad.

    *nods*

This. Very much this, on mine. It's weird. You'd think they would be the same but nope. At least not on mine.
