Everyone should quit being so technical and just enjoy them.

As for this figure, he looks awesome and will be bought on sight.

Pretty much most of this. Scale for me is just a preference for my shelf. So far the War for Cybertron stuff has been pretty great with only Siege Jetfire being too big for my collection. He's taller than a standard Scramble combiner XD But someone like Commander Class Skylynx is great! I don't need him to be bigger. I don't mind the Unite Warriors Devastator being huge because for me his rival is Omega Supreme. As for someone like Groove, well, I can "pretend" or "imagine" he shrinks to human scale in his bike mode like I did as a child, lol, thank god that's one thing I never lost as an adult.

I don't think she is from Lithone. She is a Junkion, I think she was built to look like a Lithone robot, maybe used parts of one to build her. I am not sure how Junkions are made though. Has this ever been covered in the lore? Do they just take dead Transformers and turn them into Junkions? Do they just scavenge parts to make each other like Frankenstein? Does a Transformer have to be alive and damaged to be turned into a Junkion? I'm not sure how that works so I could be wrong.

I never thought about the specifics either but it is an interesting question. Junkions are considered Cybertronian.

Except even then...if that were the case: Astrotrain, Blast-Off, and Sky Lynx laugh. Then you've got all the different tank bots, the various semi cabs/trailers.

    Hell, Motormaster blows EVERYTHING up.

Realistic scaling is the bane of variety for TF designs.

Expanded lore has them as a lost colony world, so they're made the same way as other Cybertronians

What about Megatron and Soundwave, who become incredibly tiny yet, are taller than your average bot. At least Perceptor and Shockwave retain the same size as their bot modes.

So did they develop the ability to reassemble themselves quickly on their own after colonizing their own planet? Or did they have that ability when they left Cybertron?

I'd say they probably developed it out of necessity after getting cut off from Cybertron

WfC from an engineering standpoint has been creative, but from an overall design/asthetic standpoint is the most stagnant it's been in years.

At least with Studio there's the conceit that these are replicas from the show. But these are well built figures in service of a 20/30 year old show.

If this is their plan for awhile, they need to mix in some more "new" stuff. The Modulars are awesome but we need more than three new faces a year.

They should be "filling gaps" while they're at it. Transforming characters based on the Action Masters, larger modulators. Bot modes for stuff like the rocket base... VICTORY SABER.

Hell, they'd better figure out Botanica. Even if she has to be modular it'd be nice to get an actual figure of her.

Wasn't really talking about WFC specifically. But if true scaling were ever a governing factor, then motorcycles would all be tiny and boring, and the larger size classes would be 90% jets.

Kinda the issue when we're stuck rehashing 1984/85 yet again, except this time with even more "accuracy". Unfortunately, we're past the experimental phase epitomized in the mid-2000s with AEC, etc. We're in "safe nostalgia money" territory for the foreseeable future.

At least, because the initial 1984 Decepticon roster is so skimpy, they've been filling the ranks with a lot of exciting, overlooked characters like the Horrorcons, Battlechargers, and other late G1 characters.

Not really, a lot if the designs in wfc haven't been done well in toy form prior to wfc

That would be cool. They could do a trio of Weappnizer plant-formers, with Botanica as a Venus Fly Trap / Audrey II. Or maybe “battle environments” with her as jungle foliage, and a TLK Canopy-type as urban debris...
