The G1 toy had a mouthplate and so did the Rebirth animation model, so Hasbro's version of TR Brainstorm was already accurate to his US depiction. This Walmart release has the mouth that he had in the Headmasters cartoon.
For me the pick of the bunch is scourge. I do love the others but scourge wins out. The Walmart headmaster reissues are cool too for those who live in the states. Grimlock may the best one and I'm hoping that galvatron is as good as what we have seen when we see him. I don't need blurr. I'm happy with my takara titans return one.
I think it's a clue that Studio Series will soon encompass much more than just the Bayverse movies. Pretty sure it's in jest, chief. Sorry.
Even though it comes across as yellow on screen, I would have preferred if Grimlock had more traditional gold accents like his original toy and the Power of the Primes figures. Maybe that was the deco change they were alluding to.
This was disappointing... I will get Scourge, Hot Rod, Kup, Thrust and Runabout, but seriously? Not a single Bay movie figure reveal?
I didn't get to see the stream, did they say when these are coming out? I don't want to start drama or anything but what's this controversy with Jazz? If it's better to PM me the answer about Jazz feel free.
Grimlock is the only SS86 I'm interested in so far, and since he only had a render, I think I'll hold off PO'ing until we see him in-hand. Takara Headmaster reissues are pretty neat. I'll probably grab a few of those to replace my TR ones. Thrust and Target - major yikes, yet to the surprise of no one. Guess we'll see what happens in the next 15 mins...
Hot Rod and Scourge.. and that's it for me I believe... dang, they really are missing the point of rehashing figures that have been released just a bit ago and aside ankle tilt, aren't better at all. And re-releases of HeadMasters... way to milk a few molds I guess, as with the retro boxes, I'm not looking forward to see the pricing on those.
Probably letting the '86 & G1 figures have the spotlight this week, and then the new Baymovieverse figures will get the spotlight to themselves next week or a bit later.
Not interested in Blurr or the micromasters, but everything else slaps. Am I gonna buy the TR molds again? Maybe.
Was anyone else pissed off when they said \"now you can complete your Seeker ite collection\"? Like anyone who really wanted the Amazon exclusive set actually got them before being scalped and sold back on Amazon and Ebay for 5x the retail. So getting sick of these online exclusives. No one can get them at retail unless you have $1000 in the bank and don\'t work to be on the site the second the orders go live.....
The head on the original Hasbro release of Brainstorm wasn't Rebirth accurate either. It was based on IDW Brainstorm.
