Essentially yes, but I would also say his Deluxe-sized self appears to have a greater parts count and number of paint apps than your average Deluxe.

He stalled and got himself shot. It’s the truth of the scene. He had time to shoot before Hot Rod got in the way

It’s decent, but I’m not that hard to please

Not entirely true. Cybertron was always supposed to be a sequel, Takara screwed Hasbro over when they contracted Gonzo to make the show and let them do their own thing. Hasbro then had to do damage control because they had already marketed it as a sequel. It’s likely a contributing factor as to why Takara hasn’t been lead on any world wide media since

I doubt it, especially for Megatron

Same reason wheeljack and smokescreen have different numbers

Yeah, pretty much. This is more of a solid argument than blaming Hot Rod for his demise.

Ideally he should've held back on taunting Megs and just got on with it.

Cool to see a full list. A proper PMOP or Ginrai would be nice honestly if only because the TR one (even the Ginrai version) lacked the small robot and then POTP felt like it was half way to what a proper one would be. With Bumblebee there's always a Goldbug as well.
Man they skipped a 10th and 15th anniversary already. When we're hitting 20 years it's been more than long enough.

Yelp, us older millennials finally have disposable income and that’s why WFC is super G1, Hasbro did the same thing in the late 80’s early 90’s with the 12in G.I.JOES. My dad (a boomer) bought the shit out of those JOES.

Im thinking it’s to avoid copyright infringement. Jazz is already a faux Porche. With pseudo Martini racing stripes. I think the #4 would push it over the line.

I know you're most likely kidding but that's kind of meanspirited. All because someone is waiting for their nostalgia to be catered to. I thought Nostalgia was bad?

20201015_173230.jpg It seems Volkswagen is possibly loosening the grip on their licenses as there is an official '77 Porche 911 in Cyberpunk 2077. So we may see proper alt-modes in the coming years.

I'm glad they are using unique numbers with these to not mess up the studio series numbering.

Hey look, a G1-accurate Hot Rod figure! I've been waiting SO long for one of those. Certainly much longer than I've been waiting for a DotM Devcon or accurate Hatchet.

I am too, it keeps the 86 movie figures self contained while still allowing Hasbro to use SS to distribute them

He stalled and then stood still and let himself be shot, even though Hot Rod clearly could've used a hand, and Megatron was clearly armed at that point. Optimus could've taken cover, or ran in to overpower Megs. (even in his damaged state Optimus had plenty of fight left, especially for the final battle)

I mean, considering TF:TM was thirty-four years ago, and DOTM was only nine, yeah you would have waited longer for Hot Rod.

Also who the fuck actually is Devcon? I mean I know what he is, but yeah I gotta say an accurate Generations Hot Rod has been a more glaring hole in my collection than a literal nameless background character. ("Devcon" isn't even its proper name, all the DOTM characters had placeholder names on their concept art)

Fenrys speaks the truth. If you're going to shoot, don't talk, shoot. We're talking about killing a treacherous warlord here. Seconds count.

Nobody was jibber-jabbering to Bin Laden before shooting him. No, they shot him in the face.

-Classics Hot Rod and his many redecoes
    -TR Hot Rod
    -PotP Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime
    -2 MP Hot Rods

And I mean, it's not like G1 Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime was incredibly inaccurate, just toy engineering limitations of the time and all.

To answer your second question, Devcon is quite possibly the most unique Transformer design ever, that's who he is.

So let's say they don't put any g1 into SS. Eventually all the big movie names run out. All we have left are guys like Devcon and Hatchet. At that point, do you think the line is gonna sell well enough to continue, consisting of only minor background characters? That's why g1 is here, to keep SS successful. That way g1 fans get nice g1 accurate representations of their childhood characters for the first time, while movie fans get the continuation of Studio Series, so that the smaller movie characters who's designs they love have a better chance of existing some day. Is that so bad?
