Woah! Thanks for the update!
Sounds good, but I'm still holding out hope for a toy deco version.
I was thinking a 2pack of the dead one & a live one!
Repackaged from this?
Which one has the tepid pulsing eyes?
No, since Wipe-Out is one of Trypticon's minions and not a dead Windcharger.
anyone know what dinobots theyre doing for SS86?
Grimlock ( obviously )
Slag is coming this year as well
Swoop is sopossed to be 2022
Sludge and Snarl are coming but they may not be in SS86 or in 2022 but that remains to be seen
With all that we know are coming out with the dinos they better be as good as grimlock looking as toon as possible & as big as they should be to fit right next to Grim scale well with the the rest of the bots! Agin I never thought I would buy a SS line fig but these 86 ones are everything I wanted as a kid! They look just like they came right out of the toon!
This. No idea why this even needs to be pointed out. Bayformers are really the only odd one in all the multiple incarnations.
Studio Series is about the on screen appearance, not irrelevant toy details that are overrated.
I'm not looking for "irrelevant" toy details, I want a Grimlock with Red Eyes, translucent plastic over gold and a sword. This could easily be done as a Select or in some other special line.
This is an animation specific figure. Toy specific details don't belong here. Irrelevant.
And if Galvatron was SS86 would you be sh!tting over the toy deco Selects version?
I would shit on it in any line. That's a wasteful release of an outdated color scheme that doesn't matter. Galvatron is purple in the fiction, that's all that matters.
lmao toy crigners
"The Fiction" like there wasn't a million different G1 continuities. Those were also the comic versions of the characters, and that was "The Fiction" to a lot of people, and it ran much longer than the cartoon.
Dude is just suggesting an OBVIOUS repaint opportunity, and we all know Has/Tak loves to do so. Its relevant in the sense it would use an SS figure as a base. Not to mention, this figure already as a ton of detail not present in the animation to begin with, so clearly the designers were thinking of more than just the animation when designing it.
Not to mention that the fiction wouldn't exist without the toys in the first place
And yet, fiction is what gives a toy life and personality. Otherwise it's a piece of plastic with nothing other than what you give it on the playground as a kid. But obviously it's impossible to market a million different playground personalities. So...fiction. And back in the 80's, a cartoon show was more accessible than a comic book.
lmao Marvel comics
And I'm laughing at an obviously bad repaint opportunity.
