so how tall is mp grimlock to the earthrise optimus?
i know there's no overlap between wfc86 and kingdon/er as a line but what are the odds we see grimlock in a shitty netflix shows? seems like he's one of the "evergreen" main characters hasbro always wants to push so i can't imagine them leaving him out
Yes it's the best Jazz, I thought this was settled lol.
MP Grimlock was always the "standard size" waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back for the G1 originals (they're deluxe sizes Prime and the 1st release cars) just like this size reference (for once in the accurate size lane)
I think that Hasbro would be more likely to promote WFC toys in the Netflix shows and just make another Grimlock for the next kid-oriented TF cartoon. Studio Series toys don’t have any media tie-ins because each toy already represents a character from a specific piece of visual media.
Thank you for the info about Grimlock! I'm seriously considering selling my Fans Toys dinos and replacing them with the SS versions. I realize they are not the same size but I think they will hold me over until Takara ever (maybe?) does legit MPs. I prefer the toon look.
I no longer own the official MP Grimlock. Is it fair to say that the SS86 Grimlock is about the same height as MP-11 Starscream or MP-29 Shockwave?
height wise as tall as mp-29

Takara will continue their Studio Series numeration with these toys. They are listed as SS-59 Autobot Jazz, SS-60 Hot Rod, and SS-61 Kup.
where\'s blurrs stock photos? i need to see his glorious robot and vehical mode
I think that's the writer's mistakes. There are some Youtubers received their official packed figures, all numbered SS-86 with another number to indicate this series. For example, Jazz is SS-86(01)
Takara and Hasbro number their SS releases differently.
Takara does their own numbering, partly because of skipping some exclusives (like Thundercracker) and just doing their own thing with it. Basically Takara is not treating SS86 like a subline
Started the process of paying off my preorders today, first one down is Jazz, can't wait till he come in from thechosenprime
Those 3 are amazing! Kup´s proportions seem a little bit slender, but it´s ok, this is not Master Piece. Hot Rod is competing with the MP one and Jazz, may be the one who surpasses the \"Reveal the Shield\" one. Can´t wait to see Blurr´s reveiw, which seems a heavy usage from the Titan´s Return mold.
Blurr is a new mold, at most it only takes some engineering ideas from Titans Return
Apologies if this has been asked, but if Hasbro are numbering the 86 series as SS86/01, SS86/02 etc, does that mean they're expecting a further 16 figures in the Bay/Knight-verse SS line, between Devastator (SS69) and this animated movie subline (SS86)? We know the newly revealed Starscream is #72, so there's potentially another 15 figures.
There's also any number past 86 that's up for grabs too
Doubtful that there's a direct correlation. What they said in the reveal live stream is they used the number 86 because of the release year of the movie!
These guys are easily cheaper MPs... and with MPs getting to be smaller and smaller for more and more money, it is a no brainer to choose these. They are for starters, more detailed, and not flat and cartoony...
I find it amazing that Hot Rod\'s visor looks better than both The MP and FT\'s offerings.
I find it amazing that this version looks better than both the takara and fanstoys offering in almost everyway. The only real advantage that the takara version has over the studio series is the car mode.
